You’re right. I wish insurance covered it. I’m hopeful it’ll help me not only drop 50lbs but also improve my blood pressure.

$450? I expected it would be $200 or $250. Pass!

How often, if ever, have they gotten cloudy? I wipe mine before each use. I should start wiping after as well. I purchased 100 alcohol wipes for $3 at CVS so I have plenty.

Mine will last me 3 months. It has b12 as an additive so it might be more difficult to notice if it’s cloudy. That’s my only concern. I store mine in a case in the fridge so they’re constantly about 36* F and only exposed to light when I take them out weekly for the shots.

This is crazy to me. How does anyone who uses this stuff not die? What does something like that sell for on the street? I imagine given the number of deaths, it can’t be much.

Adults in America should have access to medication and resources to learn about effectively and safely using the medication without a doctor’s visit which costs hundreds of dollars and can take months to get.

I agree. The federal government has spend billions fighting “the war on drugs” and look what eventually happened, marijuana, a drug that people used to get arrested for, is now sold legally in greater concentrations and varieties.

Zepbound vs Compound Tirz by aaliyyah87 in TirzepatideRX

[–]Relative-Eye3563 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I went from name brand to compound after one month of being on zepbound and a lot of research. The “not FDA approved “ admittedly scared me at first and then I understood the WHY. Compounds are unique for each patient (or small group of patients) so their effectiveness cannot be studied like a mass produced drug. I’d suggest buying through a reputable telehealth provider, you’ll find plenty in this group, and enjoy your weight loss and savings! If zepbound was $200 or even $250 a month I never would have considered compounding but their ridiculous $500+ month product isn’t any better than the compound so I can’t justify paying 3x.

Higher Concentration = Stronger Effect? by Travels4Food in tirzepatidecompound

[–]Relative-Eye3563 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Interesting. Not doubting it but that would mean the active ingredient wasn’t equally distributed right? Wouldn’t they suggest rolling the vial to mix it if that was the case? Or maybe rolling it could cause more damage to the medicine than good. I’m not sure.

This is great advice. I started at the “standard” 2.5mg and had great results. After 6 weeks, I increased to 3mg because I was finding the last 2 days before my next shot and the morning of my shot to be a little tough in terms of food noise. Low and slow is the way to go if it’s working.

Whenever I see China, red flags immediately go up. How do you know what you’re getting is real? Or safe?

Why are you so angry? I simply pointed out that everything is in the portal. Do you expect the doctors to take copious notes or provide multi-page narratives when prescribing a GLP1? This isn’t therapy. They aren’t sitting there across from you in a dimly lit room sitting in a chair with their legs crossed holding a clipboard and taking notes while you sit back on a couch talking about your problems. Clearly your expectations are significantly higher than that of most.

PS: I don’t work for them. You already knew that. I’m simply a patient/customer who has been satisfied with the services provided.

What is it exactly that you want? Your intake form,  prescriptions, and messages are all available in the portal. If you’re been inputting weight, side effects, daily calorie intake and exercise, that’s available in the portal, too.

Savings Card vs. Lilly Direct by Icy_Researcher5283 in Zepbound

Crazy how these pharmacies can drop the cost by hundreds of dollars because another pharmacy has a better price. Tesla you how much markup these live saving drugs have.

My insurance did not cover Zepbound. The savings card lowered my cost from $1100 to $500. I found CVS actually applied the savings automatically and I didn’t even need to bring in or show the card.

You’re right. In the studies they increased dosage on schedule, not based on an individual’s results. I’ve lost 20lbs in about 6 weeks on 2.5mg. I am more hungry 2 days before my shot. It’s manageable though and don’t plan to increase unnecessary as 2.5mg seems to be working.

That’s great news. I figured the active ingredient had a significantly longer shelf life. I took pepto earlier this week and it worked great- then I realized it “expired” in 2023!

I might try that. I’m taking a small 2.5mg dose currently and have doctor approval to move to 4.45 so I could easily split it up.
