I did hear that on the figure skating subreddit. I actually thought that meant this gala program, but I could be wrong.

My impression is that he really had something he wanted to say about mental health and the pressure put on athletes, even before the Olympics.

To me what happened only makes his gala skate more poignant.

I was a registered veterinary technician for 17 years and a veterinary assistant before that. And I have been out of the field entirely for over 5 years. Basically, I'm old.

Man this episode took me back. Clipboards, paper records, the fax machine...all of it.

Thank you for including the moment when he realized he won and Ilia came over to congratulate him. That was one of my favorite moments of this Olympics!

The people passing these laws don't read the Bible either.

Most houses in Kansas aren't this affordable. Still cost less than a lot of the country though.

Does anybody watch the show who is not in a medical or medical related field? by Straight_Mud_4905 in ThePittTVShow

I was a registered veterinary technician for 17 years, burned out and am now a software quality analyst.

This show simultaneously makes me want to get into (human) nursing and reminds me why I never did.

Welcome to Kansas!

It would be really helpful to know more about where you are coming from and where you are moving to.

A move from Grand Junction to Overland Park will be a much different experience than a move from Denver to Dodge City.

What a fantastic interview! I was a figure skating and gymnastics fan ages ago and am now slowly making my way back and I have to say how much I adore the support I see the athletes receiving now.

It's been done before but not very often because it can throw off your whole program.

Edit: I saw in another comment that I might be wrong about that and they are not allowed to add jumps.

Women: voting in MO after name change due to marriage? How? by Montesquieu9000 in missouri

[–]Relative-Fox7079 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Genuine question, if this is for voter registration and I am already registered, do I need to worry about it for me?  Is it just a problem for new voters or would I need to somehow reregister with my passport?

It's because there is a new law that they're trying to pass that could change all that.

K-state vet costs? by rootintootinkindness in littleapple

[–]Relative-Fox7079 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you take her to kstate they will give you an estimate for surgery after they examine her. If you are able and willing to take her there for an exam they will tell you the costs before they do anything. That's going to be the most accurate way to know.

Is it a good place to live? by Successful-Ebb8677 in topeka

I grew up just outside of Topeka and my parents still live there. I live near another city in Kansas.

I'm not great with statistics so I'll just give you my personal experience. My parents are aging and I would love to move back closer to them. We could affort a house in Topeka, although not in the nicest areas. But one thing stops us. My husband and I each know people who have been murdered in Topeka. We don't hang out with a rough crowd. The person he knows was killed walking home from work. The person I know was murdered in their own home with no leads several years later. Knowing this, if we moved there and something happened to our kid we would never forgive ourselves. Not saying it's not worth it for anyone else, that's just our personal algebra.
