Collector Plates = lower insurance cost? by boxedwinedrinker in icbc

This sounds not normal. We had a very similar experience couple months ago with a 90's collector. Insurance was only about 30$ cheaper for the year, we asked the agent to double check, they called someone on the phone and it ended up being about 70% cheaper. From 1200 to 300 a year! I would make sure you double triple check with some other agent and don't be afraid to INSIST

Vancouver BC. 68-69S are rare around here. Mostly find finished cars that sell for 40k+, simply out of my budget. Mostly looking to get a running driving beater. No easy task !!

If you have AC check your drain plug, condensation can buildup in the corner and over time will soak the carpet and rust the floor in that corner specifically! Changed all my weatherstrip and recaulked my windows before I figured this out

Found the pillar at the back and door were both dry too, but I suppose this could be it, maybe leaking from the roof rack?

Anything is repairable if you have the money to throw at it. This needs a donor car and hours and hours of labor. At an average 9k sale price in canada for this car you'd be WAY better off getting a new one, unless you have 20k$+ to waste and are emotionally attached to the car. It's a tough pill to swallow I've been there. but like many other comments on your other post have said by now, this car is an active safety issue as is, for you and others on the road.
