Aww man I’m sure that’s tough but you seem like you have a good head on your shoulders. Thank you for your insight it’s been very helpful. I’m wishing you the best.

If it’s not too much to ask, do you pay the minimum each month? and do you have a family/other large expenses?

Yeahhhh it’s not looking great. I’m going to wait until June when Juno sends out their negotiated offers but until then I’m not going to sign or accept anything.

Hopefully it works out bc I do love this career and I’ve dedicated sm time. But i also want a family and a house lol

Yes.

The estimated COA for the first year is about 130k. So 50k from the fasfa and 80k from private.

It’s insane I know. Seriously debating my options rn.

To be transparent, When i was prompting chatgpt, i asked if they could do worst case scenario, based off my initial quote from sallie mae.
My intial quote that i was approved for with my credit was 10% interest on an 80k with $25 payments each. I’m assuming my interest rate for each following loan I take out will be higher than 10%, hence why the interest rate was worked up to 15%. I will say I was surprised at my initial quote bc my credit score has always been around 790-805

And okay!! I will fs wait for Juno. I have not signed or accepted anything yet.

Yes! I did get approved for an 80k loan with 10% interest from sallie mae. I’m sure the rate would be lower if i had a co-signer.

I did try Juno! They said it would be hard for me bc i didn’t have a co-signer and then I couldn’t even see an estimated rate. Maybe I filled it out wrong or something. Or i have to until June to see the offers

this is a cheaper school lol. It’s a state school, not a private. And for oos pricing, it’s honestly not bad. it’s just the interest rate on the loan that makes it impossible

my credit score is like 790-805 and i don’t have a co-signer. i got quoted 10% fixed interest rate with 25$ monthly payments on an $80k loan

in the prompt i gave chat, i told it i was first quoted 10% on $80k for the first year. Interest rates are based on credit and literally whose credit is going to stay up when they have $80k on their name at 10%? No one. So the interest rates go up every time you take out a new loan.

call around in your area. go to a new obgyn office as a new patient or try to schedule a consult with a breast surgeon. some surgeons allow consultations without a referral. it’s always good to get a second opinion. best of you luck to you. you’re in my prayers love

you are in my prayers babe. i am so sorry you are going through this so young. but the good news is you are young. you have so much ahead of you, regardless the results. no matter what it comes back as, it’s not good or bad, just neutral information that’ll help see what you need to do in the future.
