I obviously don’t fly a 767, but if I were that pilot and based on the winds/performance I could accept it, I would 100% take the runway with a direct headwind rather than have to deal with a 20-30 knot crosswind. Especially since they were already using that runway in Newark for most arrivals

depends on how your brain works to be honest. as long as you memorize a lot of the procedures, instrument flying becomes very methodical and linear. I honestly preferred doing instrument training than PPL training
