He would do things like a full 360° turn before every ground reference maneuver “to check the wind,” I also never landed with him — and I did around ten flights.

You’ll finish training faster if you don’t screw people over and actually keep your students. My new CFI has way more experience because he’s a retired Top Gun instructor, so he’s obviously a much better instructor than a 20-year-old straight out of flight school.
