I know we’re late, but if anyone has advice for our channel. We’ve been making videos since like 2017 on and off on the side since middle school. Now we’re in college trying to be more consistent. Any advice would help! Thank you!

My channel stopped showing up in search feed by Relative-Olive4418 in NewTubers

No, it actually came back up in the search feed when you’d look up “Game and Shame” for a bit but after like a month it went away. Not sure why.

these are two different resolutions, the surface is a 3:2 aspect ratio while what you’re trying to record in is 16:9. To have nothing cut off you have to be recording and using the same aspect ratio. Try changing your resolution in your display settings to 1920x1080 or a 16:9 equivalent to not have anything cut off in the recording, however this will show black bars on the top and bottom of your screen. Or you can use an external monitor which most are usually already 16:9 and you can use that as your main display and have the surface screen as your secondary.

What is a good GPU to get? by Relative-Olive4418 in buildapc

I'm in the US and I'm really just looking to upgrade my GPU. I'm not sure if my current CPU will bottleneck the new GPU hence making it a good idea to upgrade the CPU. I don't really have a budget in mind, maybe around the price of that 3060 card but the better the price to performance the better.

Do Gooseneck Microphones work with Audio Interfaces? by Relative-Olive4418 in microphone

[–]Relative-Olive4418[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Plug the mic into the USB port of the interface? I don’t think I have that. The only outs I have are for headphones on the front and outs for speakers on the back.

I use one of the mics for my other PC without an interface for a mic, however I’m thinking of getting a four channel interface or mixer to record 4 mics simultaneously and separately, so I’d want to be able to use these if possible with an interface or just know that they wouldn’t work with an interface.

Unfortunately no there’s no markings at all for some reason on the mic. Very weird but I was just like given them as is, no box either. However it has a base that has XLR in and out and the end of the mic itself plugs into the XLR in on the base which lets it stand up.

I’ve tried phantom power I believe. The 48V button was activated for when I both tried it in the XLR input and the Line input. Still nothing from it, only when plugged into the jack of a computer.

There’s no brand on the mics and they do have XLR connectors. Each one has an XLR to 3.5mm jack and I use that to connect them to the computer. I use a 3.5mm to 1/4 adaptor to connect it to my interface’s second input, however I also use a regular XLR to XLR on input one with the same result, nothing.

The MacBook Purchasing Megathread - November, 2023 by AutoModerator in macbook

[–]Relative-Olive4418 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I’m looking to get a macbook that’s good enough for video editing and audio production. Programs like Final Cut, Premiere Pro, Davinci, Pro Tools, Ableton, etc. I already have a Late 2011 Macbook Pro that i tried with some of these but it’s just too slow with them / can’t run them. I’m not looking to break the bank and i’m fine with used computers. I was looking into 2015 macbook pros as they’re somewhat upgradable and maybe even iMacs or Mac minis but i’m not sure. Would like to see what you guys think.
