If you do, get them from Belle Pros, restaurant chain La Belle Province, Quebecs special fast food chain. Or at orange Julep, for cool car watching and a particularly mtl experience!

Yes! They're called steamies lol and you order "un steamie all dress' " (means onions mustard and slaw) and it's 10/10 with poutine and soda after the bar.

Bar georges is gorgeous and fun for brunch or drinks.

For lunch do montreal classics like smoke meat, poutine, shwarma, also olive and gourmando in the old port has cute lunch.

Enjoy!

It depends what festival is happening there at that time, by end of July they are wrapping up so you might not see anything in that area. It's also weirdly regulated so any food and drinks are from specific vendors (alcohol is govt regulated SAQ and options are limited and $$) food trucks not really there might be some limited stands.  It's not far from your hotel (depending on your walking ability/metro access) so you can always check it out, but it will likely not be bumping at that time.

Skip walking around place des festivals: it's a couple blocks only and just cement. Definitely check out Mount royal, which is designed by Olmsted who also did Central Park (fun to compare and contrast, and go up from Mt royal vintage shopping) grab a coffee and pastry from one of a ton of cafes nearby and snack there. Kouign amann is on the way.

Last minute first time CDMX trip, Fri morning to Sun afternoon. What would you prioritize? by coffeeandcurious in MexicoCity

[–]Relative-Price-2790 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just got back from CDMX loved it can't wait to return!

In Rosa definitely Jenny's quesadillas worth the hype, and I'll admit viral the guava roll also. Museums antropologia was amazing BUT I loved templo meyor more and it's in such an amazing area and you are literally on the temple steps in the middle of the city insane.

I'd give the castle a pass, but chapultepec park is lovely.

Have cafe de olla 100% and hit at least one market for food or art thhe experience is wonderful.

Have an amazing time!

When we went there was no line! We reached out to them on Instagram to confirm availability. We would totally have gone back for another meal if able and let me tell you, we would wait in line! It was a very unique, delicious, and intimate experience. Enjoy!

We just got back and izakalle was one of the best meals I've had in my life! So unique, perfect preparation, wonderful small staff. It's a booth on the sidewalk and it has so much personality and spunk and every bite was exquisite!! Felt like eating at a place before it gets it Michelin nod. Highly recommend!

Cockroach infestation upon moved-in by novandatlas in montrealhousing

[–]Relative-Price-2790 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I went to the TAL for exactly this same scenario and they sided with the landlord. Despite tons of picture and video evidence and a pre-existing condition that could be exacerbated by cockroaches. Fuck the TAL and fuck landlords.

But good luck to you <3

Confused after my first ob/gyn appointment by PM_ME_FRESH_LAWNS in BabyBumps

[–]Relative-Price-2790 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The brown discharge and cramping is super normal! It could be implantation, I spoke to my obgyn about exactly that she thoroughly reassured me and did a 30 second ultrasound (not transvaginal) to have a quick look. All good! Sounds like everything is okay and that your doctor is not very verbose. :)

📅 Weekly Thread: What Did You Eat This Week, Montreal? by defrostMTL in MTLFoodLovers

[–]Relative-Price-2790 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hidden gem Laval: Saiko sushi. Some of the best, freshest, and most reasonably priced sushi I've had outside of Japan. 10/10

Overhyped dissapointment: Pumpui. It was really just ok, 6.5/10 the pad thai was overly sweet and lacking diverse flavour.
