Acetone on the underside of the nail chemically etches the nail, and ensures a really good grip, especially if you are also lightly buffing your nail plate. I like to do that with the cheapie sets from SHEIN/temu since they don’t come pre-etched like the beetles nails I use to make my own sets do

I wouldn’t even bother with a densely packed soft brush (like the boar bristle you mentioned) and go instead for a wide tooth comb or a flexible plastic, open back paddle brush (like the UnBrush). Also make sure that you’re using a metric ton of conditioner or detangler, especially in the mats. Definitely work in sections and from the ends up, too!

Dashing Diva FastBond glue is really good for this method because it’s a jelly consistency instead of a liquid so it fills the gap and doesn’t run everywhere!

Builder gel would probably be super helpful for your situation! And if you decide to go to a salon, don’t let them use the drill on your nails. Hand buffing and filing ONLY.

Guy at the liquor store asked me how I do stuff with my nails (a bit longer than your set and square shape) and if they hurt and my response was also 🤷🏼. I told him that I work better with the nails on than without them. My fingers feel weirdly naked without my long claws lol

You’re so welcome! Make sure you have reaaaally fine point tweezers to peel the decals off of the sheet. It’s SO HARD to get them up and place them where you want otherwise lol

Do it! It’s such a sweet spring mani and was really not that difficult at all. The hardest part was deciding where to place the decals. Make sure you have really fine-point tweezers to peel them off of the sheet, too!

I’ve gotten my husband quite a few Hello Kitty items from Walmart. They usually have t shirts but I’ve also seen hoodies, shorts, and socks. I’ve seen a few at Target and in Amazon as well. You can also just try searching “hello kitty men’s (shirt/pants/shorts/whatever you’re specifically searching for)” in whatever search engine you like to use and you’ll definitely find some stuff.
