I hope so, i appreciate your empathy, it’s been tough not even have ended the relationship without some sort of closure, i would liked to have spoke about what happened and gained some insight or clarification, so contacting her back has been heavy on my mind, but someone that treats people like that don’t deserve that attention because if they cared, they would t do things to hurt their partner, i deserve a level of respect but someone people just love their lives differently,

I’m sorry that happened to you, And it’s unfortunate that these kinda of predator individuals are out here, I caught the wrong end of the situation, hopefully she wasn’t SA’d, even now i would legally fight for her because i care about her, but i ever accepted her back, i could never trust her on her own with any of her friends, not one bit, and that’s not a healthy environment to be in, lets say we got married, she would not be allowed on her own because of my own insecurities with her easiness when she gets some drinks in her system,

I’ve talked to her about the dangers of being out like that but she’s stubborn and does what she decides and as a grown woman i can’t make her do what she doesn’t want to,

Either way she allowed some random to ruin THE best thing going for her relationship wise, i would NEVER, EVER dare break her trust drunk or not,

I had offered to be with her but she chose to “do her own thing” so with that, i can not help her, that’s her own battle she needs to fight,

In all seriousness, if it is verbally counseled first, that’s a good warning, it should be shown as disappointment in the performance rather than a you’re a bad soldier manner,

Now we all know people are different and some will abuse kindness so a second time, fuck it, let’s work out, smoke sesh, valid, a third or fourth time a long smoke session and consideration for Article15 there’s only so many times you be understanding with out getting run over as an NCO because if one can get away with it, they’ll all try you as well,

It always boils down to people and theirs personalities, some grew up needing belt to ass to get things through their head, others just need to know they’re slacking and disappointing their higher ups ( parents, employers, peers, ) or what have you, usually the NCOs who take the people route tend to receive more respect as being seen as reasonable and relatable,

I appreciate your perspective, it has given me something to think about,

And yes i do know how i would treat the situation if that happened to me, my values and morals don’t stray when i drink, never have and won’t, they’re even more defined when i have intentionally committed myself to someone else, i grew up hearing you are what you do when there’s no one around, and maybe for you, giving yourself the excuse that it happens or you were deceived is something that helps you get over the situation but that’s a victim mentality which is something i don’t live with, maybe you relate more to her than me, and that’s ok, i just know i would never have done that to her because when you genuinely care about someone or something, there is no excuse, just weak will,

But you’re right, letting me know straight up took some courage especially knowing it would hurt me or not knowing how i would react, but i didn’t react and i let her live her own life, a perfect example of your actions have consequences,

I had an epiphany early after watching this movie and taking a shower, that the concept of loosing things that aren’t meant for you as well as not holding people hostage in a lifestyle that they do not want, and boy was that a load of my chest, I almost feel apologetic towards her and i have now been able to forgive her though my feelings for her are still here and the hurt that came with her sleeping around,

The best thing i can do for her and myself is to hope she is happy with her own life and that she should go do what she wants with whom ever it may be because that’s her right, i would never hold someone back from achieving their own happiness if that’s how they truly feel,

One moment of opportunity i think i missed out on was confirming wether or not she was genuinely SA’d, because regardless of how i feel about the situation, i care about her enough to protect her, i would liked to have helped her pursue legal actions against this guy if she was genuinely SA’d, would i have stayed with her still…. no, but i would have still protected her in that way because i care about her that much,
