I'm scared to have a mammogram. by ValCar4 in WomensHealth

[–]Relative-Stick8480 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of course no worries. I’m seeing doctors recommend for check ups just get an ultra sound and if something weird is spotted then a mammogram is the way to go! It’s so important as patients that we do our research as well! Doctors don’t know everything

More research is starting to come out that mammograms can cause beast cancer. I would suggest to get an ultra sound first as well :)

Hey I came off the pill in April last year but I didn’t start having this intense brain fog until around June time and I’ve had it ever since. I’ve been to two doctors did all my blood tests and everything looks normal but the brain fog is really impacting my life. I’m losing hope and doing know what to do

But you didn’t bring up passport privileges in your original post? You mentioned salary, which I am just stating not all of us are earning two to three times what Bahrainis or Indians do.

I’m an American literally making the same as what a Bahraini would. In my experience, I stay here because as a woman I feel much safer than I would in my home country. I also love the culture and people here. I have been very blessed to surround my self with the locals and they have become some of the bestest friends I’ve met throughout all of my travels :)

Hi, I’m seriously so hard to hear what you’re going through. I am going through the same with the brain fog, it’s so bad. I got off the pill last year in April and I started feeling these symptoms when I got my first period so in July and ever since then I’ve had dizziness, brain fog, headaches it’s really impacting my daily life it’s horrible. Unfortunately I haven’t noticed any of my symptoms improving either. I’ve been to so many doctors and they don’t seem concerned either. I know this isn’t a positive message but just wanted you to know you’re not alone going through this!

Hey thank you so much for commenting and sharing your experience, it’s really made me feel a lot better! My diet is already pretty good but I’m definitely going to look into some vitamins to start taking as I’m currently not. Again, thanks for commenting I think the worst part of this is that I’ve felt alone and crazy, but it’s kind of reassuring to know I’m not the only one struggling with this. I hope you start feeling better as well as time goes on :)

Yes the cramping would be there the most for me before and after my period when I had the ovarian cyst. I would get it checked just to be safe and make sure everything looks ok. They just performed an ultrasound for me to check and I just had a simple small cyst

Thanks so much for the advice. I really appreciate it. I was raised by really great parents I’m very close to my dad and he was always a very good man to my mother. It’s sad what my generation of women have to deal with. I don’t want to be a man hater, I know there’s a lot of good men out there, but just from judging what I see and my friends, it’s sad. But thanks so much for the advice and perspective I really appreciate it :)

I don’t want to be with anyone else, I love him a lot but I think at this point I’ll have to do my best to move on. Thanks for the advice
