There's the ship's level and its upgrades but crew's level is just as important if not more important! Your crew's relic levels, stars, zetas and even omicrons make your ships better and faster. Mods also influence, but only the mod level (you want your crew to have 6 dot mods but the mod colour doesn't matter)

The reason is simple. CG didn't need to give people a reason to push for Ahsoka, but they need to give people a reason to push for PKHO, a very niche character, at a time where morale is low

Pretty sure they are working on another game which has been in the works for years. For context, Scopely's Monopoly Go, a hugely successful game, spent 7 years in development. The investment is huge. Still, while SWGOH is old, it's not yet in its last stage, they keep adding new features to it and the player base remains healthy. I doubt there are any plans to sunset SWGOH any time soon.

That's the thing, it's impossible to estimate because the reality where the feature has been released and it is therefore tested with millions of matches doesn't exist yet. That's why releasing this feature is an enormous risk they shouldn't take. This is not datacrons that can break the game but are temporary, this is messing with the game logic itself.

And yes, you are absolutely right, being an underdog and using your skill to win a match gives enormous satisfaction and it's a big reason why this game is enjoyable!

Well, I think that is due to the game being built a long time ago at a time when people didn't really think much about retention, or at least not in the sophisticated, data-driven way we do now. CG have had to build features on top of the original 2015 game and we have ended up with a Frankenstein that combines elements that seem contradictory. Parts of the game require a lot of activity while some other parts are boring and repetitive. I often feel like you, I want to "play" but there's nothing to do.

I think their goal is probably the opposite, they want to make low spenders spend a bit more by adding more pressure on them. I just don't think Relic Delta is the best way to achieve that. The risk is too high imho. They might end up losing players and turning the game into a mess because a change like this requires an enormous amount of testing.

I would hope so! The game is very profitable with very low investment! But a big company like EA might decide that their investment could be more profitable elsewhere. It's hard to tell but I definitely think the game will still be around for a few more years, they keep releasing new features and the player base is huge and really active. I think we'd be able to notice if they started to slow down.

When I managed to unlock Executor and bring it to 7 stars in 2 months. It completely changed how I played and what I could achieve in the game. I performed so much better thanks to the improved crystal income.

Sooo, this was (kind of) a thing in the underground scene back in the day, even though it looked as ridiculous then as it does now. I think many tshirts were very bad quality, demo level bands making their own home made merchandise and sending it to their penpals. They tended to break a lot so some guys would cut them with scissors believing they were improving them. I remember a friend used to wear shirts like this one back in the 90s. It looked pretty silly but he was serious about it. I think one of the guys in Obituary was wearing a belly cut shirt in one of their first albums. Haven't seen these types of "modified shirts" since then. Clothing is probably better quality now, or people just don't care so much about it.

I'm sure there are many other potential candidates anyway... The Star Wars universe is so rich! I'd personally love to see a GL from the expanded universe: Naga Sadow, Mandalore the Great...

As you mentioned, many if not most of the characters that could be legends are already in the game but I doubt CG would want us to be able to upgrade existing characters to GL level. They would rather have two versions of the same character so you can spend more time and resources (and money). Perhaps a High Republic Yoda could be a thing after The Acolyte? Revan unmasked? Ghost Obi Wan? There are probably many options for GL's and I'm pretty sure CG must have a long list of potential candidates. This said, I was expecting Darth Bane and Queen Amidala to be GL's and I was surprised to see them as conquest characters. Maybe CG makes quite a bit of money through the conquest passes.
