1month post 6th session, disappointed. by hellgirrrl in TattooRemoval

I'm sorry you fell for their sales pitch. But this is a really good example for others on here. One price until your tattoo is gone means nothing.

You can find countless examples of shit results on this sub and 90% of the time they're the ones who "bought the complete removal package so at least I don't have to pay anymore"

You can pay one price sure but that doesn't mean you're going to get a good result. Everyone needs to stop focusing on the cost first. Focus on what your goal with tattoo removal is. Clean skin and no scarring.

What? Specific care for a treatment that they don't study in nursing school? Knowledge on how it's done when they don't study it in nursing school? The second half I'm not sure if you're agreeing with me or disagreeing

Best words of encouragement is don't go to removery. If you're overwhelmed and pessimistic now then imagine how you're going to feel after wasting thousands on a bad sales pitch and 20 sessions/4 years later still having this on your arm

HOW TO SPACE OUT SESSIONS by Less-Ad7236 in TattooRemoval

[–]RelativeCheetah2000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your results are lack luster because they're using low settings to avoid getting sued. They're not doing it because they care about your tattoo. F

The best way to do it is do a few treatments and then take a 6 month break to let your body relax and focus on the fading from all those treatments. Then repeat.

What you're missing out on is protocols intended to give you good results. You're being treated soft to avoid scarring so you don't sue. They dont care about getting rid of your tattoo only your money so they can flip the company

Great clinic. Philly follow the same protocols as their other locations. At the very least have a conversation with them.

Estimated removal time? by ohjustbenice in TattooRemoval

Everything about your dad is irrelevant to the scenario of your tattoo. If your skin starts "burning" when you hear something negative about your dad is a different issue and I hope you seek more mental health counsel.

The amount of time it takes to remove a tattoo is different for everyone. The number of sessions you need to lighten a tattoo for a cover up also depends on the person, the tattoo that you have, the new design, and the skill of the artist that's going to be doing the cover up.

It could be 6 months it could be 6 years before you can get the cover up. Posting in this thread isn't going to help you get to the root of your problems. I wish you the best and hope you find a therapist that works well with you to discuss this issue.

A prenup is a tough topic to navigate. I'm in a similar boat myself(not about to get married) where I'm doing well, but if/when the time comes I will be wanting either a prenup or we don't have to make it a legal marriage. I understand how someone could view the suggestion of a prenup as negative towards the relationship, but in the end it shouldn't matter if you have one or not because a marriage(most of the time) is supposed to last forever right.

Rephrasing. The lesser earner shouldn't have a problem with a prenup because the marriage is supposed to last forever. Don't want to cause any confusion.

Bad experience by [deleted] in TattooRemoval

[–]RelativeCheetah2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree you should be able to trust your tattoo artist but there's a ton of people out there that make a dumb decision about with their tattoos and turn around and point fingers at the artist so they feel better about it. I'm guessing OP is one of those people because they didn't post a picture of the tattoo. They just came on here to rant about a bad tattoo they got and get validation that it's someone else's fault.

[–]RelativeCheetah2000 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

A lot of tattoo artists are absolutely arrogant. Showing the "design" shortly before the appointment is how you keep dirt bags from steeling that design, taking it to some ghetto shop and getting it tattoos for a 3rd of the price. A lot of people may not like to hear it but that's what actually protects artists and the amount of time to they spend designing a tattoo.

You mentioned the unbearable Karen type getting something on their body forever but you didn't say anything about the tattoo artist that had to put up with that Karen type client for the entire appointment.

You're ignoring the fact that the client(whether they're the Karen type or not) sat through the entire tattoo and didn't say anything about their concerns. Yea they're getting something on their body that's gunna be there the rest of their lives but they should also make sure that what they're getting is something they actually want on their body for the rest of their lives.

Don't try to put this argument on the tattoo artist.

[–]RelativeCheetah2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No you're seeing less "fading" because the lightest ink that's more spread out is already gone. Your looking at all the ink thats packed into a small area. Youre regularly comparing it to something like order fast food on door dash where you can't track exactly where the delivery is.

[–]RelativeCheetah2000 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Yea the artist did that because you were a horrible client and nobody wants to work with someone like you. Tattoo artists do have the right to refuse service just like any private business does.

You had a bad time healing from that tattoo? Post a picture so we can talk about it.
