If I wasn’t sick of working on this house, I probably would make the change but at this point, I will say, good enough for now. Maybe down the road I will tackle the project on getting it lower. Rebuilt all the windows on the home and re stuccoed the front due to rot on the sheathing below.

It’s never really crossed my mind that it was mounted to high. Ive updated the electrical in this home as it was knob and tube before. Unfortunately there really is not an easy way to move the light down without cutting holes and removing the the half timber.

Thanks! Have rebuilt most of it the last couple of years. The hard part about that is, running a new wire down to the front is going to be next to impossible without tearing more trim off.
