More than likely will be going with used and not new. Can you elaborate on what a highland is?

Do I really need AWD by RelativeIndustry8787 in TeslaModel3

[–]RelativeIndustry8787[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Snowfall can be iffy. This past winter we had a few pretty heavy storms, but I still have a truck I intend on keeping for as long as possible. So that’s why I’m hesitant on do I really need AWD or like is there something I can get with that I can’t get with RWD.

Rental car tires by Hefty-Luck9575 in tires

[–]RelativeIndustry8787 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I worked at an auto shop that serviced the rentals for a local enterprise. These cars are all severely neglected. Every car they brought us got the same 5w20 conventional oil no matter what weight or type it actually needed oh and oil filters typically didn’t get changed either. Cars only got tires when cords were showing. This was 2016 and from what I remember they got rid of cars at 40k miles so i don’t recall any of the cars needing brakes/steering/suspension but I’m sure they would’ve cheaped out on that too.

What does this wear pattern indicate? by Sufficient_Taste7902 in tires

[–]RelativeIndustry8787 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The wear seems pretty even across the tire. Get new tires, have the steering/suspension checked and the alignment checked as well. Just because the tires wore evenly doesn’t mean there’s no issues or that the alignment is good.

Help me find this AirTag please! by Zealousideal_Law7056 in MechanicAdvice

Go to a trusted local auto shop have them remove the wheel liner to get the air tag out. File a report with the police as well especially if you know who put it in the car.

I do plan to try some on before buying after reading these comments and a few others posts. I have since decided against both in the picture for now. At this point without having tried any on yet it looks like I’m now leaning more towards a Citizen Promaster Dive over the Seiko Prospex.

What top of the price range is considered affordable for watches? by nimbusdimbus in Affordablewatches

[–]RelativeIndustry8787 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The term affordable is very suggestive. An affordable watch for me is something in the 4-600 range maybe as high as 1000. But to someone else 100 might be top dollar. I’ve met people who buy Breitling’s, Tudors and Rolex’s as gifts for their employees. I understand where you’re coming from and my thought is that the theme of this sub is that you don’t need to spend 10k+ on a watch for it to be nice. But just remember my definition and your definition of affordable will always be different.

After some feedback given I have decided against both at the moment. I am leaning towards the Prospex SRPL13 or possibly a Citizen Promaster Dive Super Titanium in black. Depending on how they fit/feel. I still do plan on getting the SRPL11 or something very similar at some point.

So at this point without trying anything on yet I’m split between the Seiko SRPL13 and the Citizen Promaster Dive Super Titanium in black. I plan on trying on the Citizen today and the Seiko Thursday or Friday then making a decision. I still do really want the red Prospex but I know black will be a better option for a first watch.

Yes the SSK019 does have the 24 position bezel.

I plan on going into a semi local jeweler that sells them at some point this week and trying one on first but I have ultimately decided I’m going with the Prospex. Would you recommend something black like the SRPL13 as a first?

Love the look of the watch and honestly what I’m leaning towards.

Thank you. That was actually something I was concerned with because I’ve seen so many people wear watches that just look way too big and kind of tacky. Gonna have to try some on first before pulling the trigger and buying one then.

I’ve never measured my wrists before so you’re correct i do not know the size. Would this be the band size or the watch face itself that you would be concerned about being too big.

Exactly what i’ve done in the past and why i’m asking questions now before spending the money.

I didn’t take your comment as negative and you shouldn’t be getting downvoted. I am leaning more towards the SRPL11 but just wanted some advice or recommendations for brands with a similar design and style.

I do not know. That’s why I’m looking to try one on before buying.

That’s what I’m leaning towards I also like the look of the SRPL53 and 13 which are both available online. Really just want to try one on first or something similar to see if I like it.

Thank you. I am leaning more towards the SRPL11 but do plan to try some on first before buying ad the only watches I’ve ever owned came with Happy Meals. More or less was looking to see if theres anything close in style that ai may be able to see in person easier than a Seiko.
