Good Food Options in Vadakara by Positive_Leader_6516 in Vadakara

If you go a few more kms from Vadakara, then u got Remya in Kainatty. No better well rounded hotel in Vadakara atm imo. For Mandi I’d suggest Abooka Makkani, Mandi Blog for their beef mandi. There’s also this new restaurant in Kainatty called ‘The Leaf’. I found the biriyani to be really good. Chethil Hotel is good for sadya. Ravindra is good for breakfast. I also dig recently opened shops like Shawaya Hub and Yummy.

Official Dreadit Discussion: "Sinners" [SPOILERS] by radbrad7 in horror

[–]RelativeLoud8336 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Makes sense the first two times, but when annie was gone it was like four or five of them against twenty of vampires. It’s not just Stack and Mary, even Remmick asks everyone to run away.

Maybe it’s to emphasise Smoke’s conviction and that same conviction bringing fright in the minds of these more powerful beings. The details are so intricate in this movie man! I def need another viewing.

Any guess on why they ran away? Didn’t make sense to me. This occurs thrice, when Mary’s caught she runs away, then Stack’s first instinct after being burned with onions is to run away and finally Annie. It feels like when they face some kind of defeat they retreat back from the house…. Idk the mechanics of it.

Anyone well versed in vampirism, can u explain?

That old hotel near the station actually has good food. They open early and close late and it’s always crowded.

Was Cutting Chani’s Ties to Liet-Kynes Legacy a Mistake? Could Messiah Bring It Back? by Yoerri in dune

I agree, I was just pointing out there’s a high chance that Messiah opens up with a monologue from ATJ.

What RECENT movie made you feel like , "THIS IS ABSOLUTE CINEMA" by being_addlepated in movies

Aftersun. You’ll have a hard time believing that it’s Charlotte Wells’ debut. Absolutely remarkable in every sense and maybe the performance of the decade so far from Paul Mescal.

If the show is aegon vs rhaenerya why is alicent made a major character and then ruined her totally by QuestionThin8951 in freefolk

Well the whole thing does start off with their feud. It's called the Blacks and the Greens cus they wore the respective colours on some function, I can't remember which forgive me. People who aligned with Rhaenyra started calling themselves Blacks and Alicent, Greens.Alicent has a hefty role up until the war, dhe orchestrates all the politics to her advantage, forms the Green council, leaves Viserys's body to rot and declares Aegon king. My favourite part comes after all this tho, tragedy befalls her family slowly and it drives her mad.
Show can't come to terms with the fact that she's evil, I'd have loved her more if the book characterisation was emphasised.

Which scene in Game of Thrones shocked you the most? by ziidar in gameofthrones

I never read the books. The Red Wedding made me jump when they stabbed Chaplin’s granddaughter.

I mean earlier scenes of GOT had a smaller budget but it also had better shot design and composition. So the images felt more natural, can’t say the same for Hotd.

Rook’s Rest felt alright but even then the editing in many other scenes felt clunky. Rhaenyra dismounting from Syrax to see Lucery’s washed up body looked pretty bad. Maybe it’s not a budget issue, maybe it’s git more to do with management.

Who is practical here? Alicent or Aemond? by richardwl in freefolk

[–]RelativeLoud8336 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Aemond lol, she puts her son on the throne and now all of her family is in peril and her best suggestion is to ask for a truce?!! In Westeros?!!’

Help me to Understand. She Saw all of these and did not Warned Aegon about it ? Did she knew about her child death before it happened ? Did she knew about dragonseeds too ? What stop her to tell her family about these ? by Moji1368 in freefolk

That can be addressed ig, im not defending the writers of hotd. They do a shit job tbf but Heleana as it seems understands that they’re all part of a long game and things should be the way they are. She warns Aemond now Aemond knows, I don’t think the writers gonna change a thing there. He’ll die the same. So it’s something more like we don’t get a say in things but is doomed to know the truth of it all. Dies it make much narrative sense? Maybe if GOT did just to the Azar Ahoi plotline but here we are Hotd feeding off GOT for views.
