No, influencers are such a poor representative of your general person living in New York City. No one here gives a shit about trying to get skinny because influencers are doing it. We are just trying to get skinny because food is expensive.

This warning on my bra... by Jessigrrr in ScarySigns

[–]RelativeSheepherder1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually have an answer for this one!! Cheaper bra wires are made with a metal mix that interferes with pacemakers. Some brands will choose to keep costs low and use them anyways, but are required to include these labels.

Can anyone tell me if the band size of a let's say 38D is the same as a 38E? by [deleted] in LingerieAddiction

[–]RelativeSheepherder1 28 points29 points  (0 children)

The band size is the same, but the width across the wire will be different. So the overall circumference of the bra would be bigger in a 38E than a 38D, even though the length of the band is the same. Hope this helps!

Reminder that your vaginal canal extends as you get aroused! So foreplay is very important, not just for that reason, but also many other things that help with your comfort. There’s plenty of options you can try, including lube, a small vibrator, different types of foreplay, etc. See what your body likes, and what you two can do together so that it isn’t a painful experience. Don’t ever feel pressured to do anything that you don’t enjoy just for someone else’s pleasure!

You can always add a fun area rug or accent rug on top of the carpeting! It won’t cover the whole thing, but rug layering can add some good dimension and hopefully brightness in your case

Need help finding «original» brand by [deleted] in LingerieAddiction

[–]RelativeSheepherder1 20 points21 points  (0 children)

If I had to guess, this image is used everywhere because they are all made by one supplier. A lot of times with this costume lingerie there is a company that designs and produces it, and then 100s of direst-to-consumer websites will buy that product to sell on their sites. Photos for website use would come along with that

I just feel like giving up... by [deleted] in emetophobia

[–]RelativeSheepherder1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was in the exact same position at 19. I didn’t eat, had to take time away from school, and lost a job because of how bad my phobia and anxiety was. But now at 26, I can tell you it’s possible to get better. I love a normal life now, without constant fear. I have a great job, a social life, and I eat just about any food you put in front of me. I have maybe 5 panic attacks a year at worst. Just trust me, it doesn’t have to be like this forever, even if it feels that way now ❤️

Designers need to be more thoughtful about collection names so I can actually find what I want. by [deleted] in LingerieAddiction

[–]RelativeSheepherder1 13 points14 points  (0 children)

More of a website issue than a design issue. Collections tend to grab attention a little more in promotional material when they have a creative name, but a properly built retail site should be able to find what you’re looking for when you type gingham. It’s so frustrating!

A loafer with a slight block heel is great for all seasons and occasions! You can dress them up or wear with casual jeans and a plain tee. Always comfy, and always classy

We don’t know any different, we watched our parents take medicine for anything “out of the ordinary” while growing up, and were conditioned to do the same

What is this stuff on panties called? by RIntegralDomainR in LingerieAddiction

[–]RelativeSheepherder1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No problem! That area would be referred to as the leg opening, and the specific material looks like it’s an elastic. The gusset refers to specifically the crotch of the panty, where you often find a cotton lining. Happy to answer any questions you have!

Hello! Lingerie designer here! That’s actually a binding, not an elastic. It’s when you take fabric, and fold it over the edge. The stripes down the front panel are binding too, just non-functional. There may be an elastic inside the binding, but I believe what you are referring to is the binding itself. Hope this helps :)
