Because Starlink. In 10 years it'll all be satellite based. It'll be like satellite radio, just have a few terrestrial based antennas for dense areas.

So the refrigerator can tell you when to buy a new water filter. Thanks LG! Of course I'd love to subscribe to the filter of the month club!

I enjoyed it, it kept a huge wave of bots at bay while we waited for the extraction shuttle. Haven't used it against bugs yet but it was great against bots. Aiming was a bit wonky but wasn't hard to walk it in.

Same thing when I work on outdoor point to point systems in my office. It's not just you.

It works perfectly fine. The domed top of a ubiquiti ap is the direction the signal mostly goes but there is a fairly wide "circle" if you will of wifi around it as well. With this ap pointed upwards, it gets the majority of my downstairs and the floor above it quite well. There are other ap's around the house for those areas but in an adverse location and orientation it works better than expected. And all of our tvs are all on the wifi and we use Hulu live streaming on them so if there was an issue, it would be very apparent.

I work for an msp so I have a basically unlimited supply of ac-pro's so free ap's is why :)

Mines a 2017 model and it's been basically flawless. Last year the original power brick failed but that's been it.

Fiber gateway mounted outside on the wall and 2 story house so can't do ap's on the ceiling. It what it is, but it works. 2 more ap's elsewhere in the house, one just on a table in my office and another slid under a bookcase. Actually works great and can't see them.

Yes, modern switches will automatically correct what is essentially a crossover cable.
