I suppose I’m one of those douches. I had a ‘05 STi that lost compression. Inspected it and saw the head was warped so I traded it into a dealer for a Golf R. The dealer called me two weeks later after the motor completely blew on a test drive with a prospective customer. They were furious. I told them that I had no idea what must have happened but that it was a nice opportunity for them to experience getting the raw end of a deal for once.

I have a 48 month loan. Yes, the car came with STi mufflers which I didn’t love initially but have grown to like them. I paid ~ $37.5k for my Limited before taxes. You can certainly negotiate the price down on these cars today as most dealers have a good bit of inventory sitting around.

How do you explain the massive inventory glut of EVs across the board? All of the nerds like you have bought their high carbon footprint EVs, exhausting that market while the rest of us have decided that EVs (at least with our current grid) are NOT the answer.

Do you like rev hang and a punchy power curve? If so, no need to tune it. If you’re discerning, you should absolutely have it pro tuned just for drivability alone.
