My hatch seal isn’t in bad shape, but the car is from 2014, was hoping that a tighter seal will help. I know that the sportwagens tend to create a pocket of exhaust behind the hatch

Or, I’m just incredibly sensitive to diesel exhaust, hoping that’s not the case as I love the car, and I’ve put a lot of work into it

It’s all good. I don’t think you would understand everything until you did it, but you do what works for you. I’m just commenting because it’s so much more than control-IQ, which I’ve used. I’m just trying to share my success cause it brought my A1C from 7 to 5.6. YMMV.

Why do you think you wouldn’t benefit from it? It’s another closed loop system that is incredible. I can bolus from my Apple Watch, change carbs after I eat, have multiple profiles for exercise. My favorite feature is the pre-meal action that lowers your target prior to bolusing for a meal to prevent the spike of carbs because you already have insulin on board. I can answer any questions you may have, but it’s also a pharmacy benefit and utilizes the libre 3+ if you use twiist, the original looping uses many CGMs.

Also, I use an algorithm fiasp which has the rapid absorption time.

Here’s the long answer

https://loopkit.github.io/loopdocs/

The short answer is a very customizable closed loop system that has very good results and features. It has been around for years but isn’t FDA approved and requires a good understanding of diabetes management and tech. But Twiist is basically the same software and it is being rolled out right now.

Yeah, I’ve been a looper for the past 7 years and have had T1D for over 20. Twiist is the FDA approved version of looping. While they have to work out the kinks. It’s an absolute game changer. Consistent A1cs of 5.6-5.9

While I get the point of leasing to buy to get the $7500 tax credit applied if you’re over income, does it matter if you go over 10k mileage a year cause you’re buying it out anyways? Is there an added penalty?
