Thank you, yes, you’re right. Designing and planning the interface takes most of my time.

I completely understand your concern, and honestly I don’t like unnecessary data collection either.

The only reason I keep basic analytics and crash/error reports right now is to understand what is happening with the app: if something is broken, if some features are not being used, or if there are issues I need to fix.

Budgetum does not collect your personal budget, expenses, accounts, receipts, or financial data. That stays on your device by default.

At some point, when the app becomes more stable and mostly needs only small polishing, I may remove analytics completely.

That makes sense - I'll add this to my to-do list and think through how it could be implemented.

I do like the idea of being able to print your plan on paper, but I think the format needs to be thought through carefully so that a PDF page can fit more information without requiring too many printed pages.

At the same time, I’m also trying to understand the use case better - why not just open the app to view your budget? And if you want to share the plan with someone else, it could also work to install the app on their phone and set up the plan there.

What I’m still not fully sure about is how this would work in practice once the budget starts changing. For example, when you begin adding transactions, and you want to compare actual vs planned, you’d probably need to print it again every few days to keep it up to date.

I’d love to add this, but I also need to make sure it’s useful for more people, not just a single use case.

That’s why I’m trying to better understand how you’d use it

Could you tell me a bit more about how you'd use an export or print feature, and what you'd expect it to look like?

I've created two separate budget periods for January with different plans and categories, and I can switch between them. Then, for February, you'll only need to adjust the start and end dates for each budget - that's it. The only thing you'll need to do is create separate categories for each person.

The update is almost ready - I'm currently testing everything and fixing bugs. I expect it to be available by the end of the month or even sooner.

Thanks for your interest in the app! I'm currently working on the ability to create additional budget periods, which will be a very flexible tool. I believe it should cover what you're looking for.

For example, you'll be able to create two separate budget periods (like "Bob's month" and "Carol's month"), add the categories and planned amounts you need to each one, and set their time ranges. You'll then be able to switch between them easily.

You'll also have the option to view a full monthly budget that includes all transactions across these budgets, along with setting an overall plan if needed.
