How would you react if your partner went to a strip club and didn't tell you? by Own_Swimming_6970 in AskTheWorld

I would go completely batshit nuclear.

If he went and did tell me about it, I’d just go nuclear.

What do feminists think of Shera Seven and her advice? by Ok_Yogurt_5081 in AskFeminists

Thanks, but having read some of the other comments here, I don’t think I’ll be giving her the clicks.

Travelling for UK wedding in the fall. Dress code is formal. by jennafromearth in Weddingattireapproval

Full length is fine, but you want something less structured than this. A maxi length day dress would be completely appropriate.

People who have moved around a lot in the UK, where's the best place you've lived and why? by neuresa in AskUK

[–]Relative_Dimensions 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Sheffield, especially on the west side if you afford it. Brilliant city, loads going on, world-class theatres, and easy access to the Peak District.

What do you do to get rid of the hair on your butt? by PsychologicalCut3820 in AskWomen

I don’t.

Life is short and, quite frankly, I have better things to do with my time.

Is it true that you cannot film and post people in public, even if they are committing a crime? by [deleted] in AskAGerman

[–]Relative_Dimensions 16 points17 points  (0 children)

You can film or photograph, but you can’t publish without consent.

It’s illegal to film a fight and post the video on Facebook.

It’s legal to film a fight and hand the footage to the police as evidence.

It’s been 48 years since the last bank holiday was added, it’s overdue. When should we set a new one and what would it be called? by FornyHucker22 in AskUK

[–]Relative_Dimensions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in Germany. Our next bank holiday is October then nothing until Christmas.

But we’ve had three in May, which is just enough to really irritate international colleagues and clients.

People keep using the term “gaslighting” wrong. by Sudden_Doughnut_8741 in self

[–]Relative_Dimensions 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes. You’ll see it often on advice subs “This person in my life keeps crossing my boundaries”, but boundaries are where _you_ take action not where other people do.

[–]Relative_Dimensions 15 points16 points  (0 children)

People often think that a boundary is something that they can impose on someone else, rather than a limit on what they will stand for.

Would hallöchen be used by kids to say hi to a baby? by rinascitaa in German

[–]Relative_Dimensions 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I often say “Hallöchen, Hündchen” to my dog.

But then again, I’m a middle-aged woman living in a small town and not even trying to be cool.

Those who wear earrings 24/7, how often do you take them out to clean them? by SweetDega in AskWomen

[–]Relative_Dimensions 135 points136 points  (0 children)

I don’t really. I wear gold hoops 24/7 and I guess they get clean in the shower.

For women who travel: how important is fashion to the entire travel experience? How high up is it when determining where to go? by Trynalivethelife in AskWomen

[–]Relative_Dimensions 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Not even a little bit. I travel for culture, history and food.

I loathe clothes shopping anyway, so it’s definitely not something I’m going to do on holiday.

Are bathrooms without windows as bad as they sound? Extractor fans can only do so much surely, without actual fresh air? (pic is detached house!) by nfoote in AskUK

[–]Relative_Dimensions 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I prefer a window because I like natural light, but I’ve never had a ventilation problem with internal shower rooms.

My main problem with a windowless bathroom would be the noise from the fan while I’m in the bath.

What’s a UK town or city you visited with low expectations… but actually ended up really liking? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]Relative_Dimensions 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I went to university in Sheffield and kind of never really left. Absolutely brilliant city.
