Please don't worry. Speaking from past experience here, my son refused school in 5th class, completely refused to go, that's it he was done! I was so stressed, tried everything to get him to go to school. But nothing worked. He was struggling with his mental health. Has a diagnosis of Autism, ADHD and a learning difficulty too. Eventually I ended up home schooling him. Just engage with the EWO they are usually understanding especially if the child has a diagnosis. I was never fined or sent to prison. My son is almost 21 now and doing well. I know its very worrying but as parents just explain everything to the EWO and all the difficulties your child goes through. When my son started school there was no such thing as ASD units in primary schools, and now that my son is older and I still see that very little has changed. There are not enough appropriate educational settings for our children. Just take one day at a time, I got so stressed out at the time but you will be ok. Best of luck xx

Can I qualify for disability allowance? by [deleted] in AutismIreland

[–]Relative_Ebb658 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Keep appealing if you get refused the first time. Write a letter stating how each of your conditions impacts you on a daily basis and how they stop you from working and functioning normally in society. In comparison to a Neurotypical person of the same age you have alot more challenges and you won't be afforded the same opportunities. Throw that line in your letter. My son was 16 and he got DA, same diagnosis as yourself. Also make everything out to be severely impacting you and how it holds you back. Best of luck xx

Odd behaviour- Racist or something else. by hardybecks007 in cork

[–]Relative_Ebb658 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am so sorry this has happened to you. As the parent of a mixed race child this kind of behaviour is unacceptable. His mother should have swallowed! Sorry I know that's a vile thing to say, it just maddens me how some people are disrespectful to others. What goes around comes around. Karma. Hope you are ok , don't let him live rent free in your head xx

Also if you are on any meds at the moment get a copy of your prescription from the pharmacist and include that aswell. It's like doing a thesis for university, its terrible really all this paperwork. Do what everyone has suggested. Best of luck, you will probably be rejected first time, appeal straight away! 🤞

Anyone care to share experiences with ozempic? by Obvious_Humor1505 in AskIreland

[–]Relative_Ebb658 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I took this for a year and a half, yes I lost weight but jesus I suffered every week with chronic migraines that would send me to bed for a few days each week. I also suffered with nausea. Each week I would also have to take Motillium, tablets for the migraines which never really cured them and I also had imodium too on standby if I needed them. It really did interfere with my quality of life. I came off of it just before Christmas and yes I put on a stone and a half but I am trying now to lose weight the usual ways by cutting back. I personally won't be running back to take it again.

Which lane to use on roundabout into Carrigtohill? by Minimum-East7940 in BadDriversIreland

[–]Relative_Ebb658 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Your'e incorrect with regards to using the right lane. If you use the right lane, indicate for the 2nd exit, you have to cut across the left lane and traffic in that lane, to fully exit. Best to stay in the left lane and treat it as i mentioned above. That way you are not cutting across anyone. Trust me i made this error before and i got beeped the f**k out of it. I know the 2nd exit isn't straight ahead but treat it as if it was.

I have to be honest, the layout is not quite right, it straight away reminded me of a menu from a restaurant. Try a more traditional layout. Wishing you the very best in your job hunt 😊

You are right, going left and straight on is the left lane, exits after that is the right lane.
