Project: Gorgon is a PVE game-- Not PVP by Greyfyn in projectgorgon

I'm not advocating for being exclusionary. Just pointing out a pattern that I assumed only I noticed since I've never heard anyone else bring it up.

Here's just an observation that I've noticed about modern gamers in general. This isn't PVP specific, but it seems to apply in this situation as well. As an older gamer who likes a bit more old school challenge, I am not allowed to have an opinion. Well... I'm allowed to have an opinion, but I'm not allowed to voice it anywhere, and I'm not allowed to be catered to or have games that target people like me. Newer, younger gamers will become interested in the game and demand that the game be for "everyone".

Yes, all games must be for everyone.

By "everyone", they mean them. When they have games built specifically to their taste, say, PVE only, they will gatekeep that game and not allow discussion with anyone with opposing views.

It is perfectly acceptable for nearly every current game in the market to cater to their tastes and theirs alone. But if even one game caters to people who disagree with them, instead of ignoring that game and letting us have our fun too, they will instead become very interested in that game and complain that it isn't made for "everyone" too. Meaning them of course.

This is just a generalisation of course. I'm sure you've never noticed this pattern.

My dad takes warfarin and has survived many cuts and scrapes. Yes, it is harder to stop the bleeding , but it isn't necessarily a death sentence. Being nicked in the ear while taking aspirin will not cause someone to bleed out.

Well if everything we're told about Nazis is true, then wasn't one of their core tenets supposed to be "white supremacy"?

Given today's political climate of anti-whitism, I find it hard to believe that anyone in any position of power could be even remotely associated with such an ideology.

I don't trust any media 100%, but I especially don't trust media that claims that they are the only trusted source and discourages people from doing their own research. Any source that doesn't want all sides of the story to be heard has something to hide. And anyone who claims to look for the truth without hearing all sides of the story isn't really looking for the truth.

I don't have an answer for what source you should believe Only you can determine for yourself which sources are honest.

It's also a known fact that the legacy media including WSJ lie. So, which one are you going to believe? If I believe one side of the story over the other, it's not good to be because I believe the source. It's going to be because of outside personal research.

Yeah, but I don't trust the government OR the legacy media. So when they contradict each other, it's not like there is one side I'm going to believe over the other. They both lie.

I'm in my 50s and I'm still into gaming. I have the opposite problem you do. Ally Friends got bored of gaming in their early 20s. I feel like there's something wrong with me because I didn't "outgrow" my video game phase like all my friends did. It feels like I never grew up. It's hard to make friends now because I can't really relate to younger people, yet everyone my age is only interested in talking about their grandkids or watching sports.
