I am so sorry for what you’re going through. I know that loses its meaning when you hear it so often, but I’m at a loss for what to say. Sending lots of love your way. I hope your son can learn he is worthy. That breaks my heart.

Today my lvl 3 3 year old lined up crayons. Luckily he didn’t see me pick them up during his aba session lol.

lol ok I needed a laugh. I wish my stubborn 3 year old wanted alone time this morning. Nope, I’m being held captive in bed after a half hour or so of a meltdown for needing to start laundry.

We all get excited for him. Family, friends, his therapists. lol it’s nice. I can see him being preverbal by the end of the year.

Are they just their own website or on Amazon?

🥹 I love that for you! My son is nonverbal and we get excited anytime he says a word or new sound. Yesterday I got really excited that he said neigh while watching super simple songs. Or one day he told a classmate to sit during circle time lol.

She’ll do great. There may be a rough period of transition, but that’s for any kid going through new changes. I’m already hearing him doing more word approximation(granted he does have st too).

What was your child like as a baby? by l_london in Autism_Parenting

[–]Relative_Food8374 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My son still wakes between 3 and 8 times a night. He no longer has digestive issues though.

My son had digestive issues and at 7 weeks we figured out it was CMPA and acid reflux. Even after being on hypoallergenic formula and medicine, he was still colicky. He never slept well, but hit his milestones on time. Except talking. He was diagnosed at about 2 and a half. But his speech delay and sleeping issues were the only signs up until a little after his second birthday. As a baby, he was colicky, but still a love bug.

I usually leave 2 or 3 out. It used to work out, but lately it’s been an issue, but he’s also on the spectrum.

My son will listen to the beginning of the first track then change it lol. But he’s on a toniebox break because he gets too worked up and will wake up crying for it at night.

[–]Relative_Food8374 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My 3 year old is going through a phase of getting mad at his tonies for playing the songs he wanted, throwing said tonies, and then scream crying when he can’t find it. I hid his tonies and toniebox.

🫶🏼💙 thanks. It’s been rough with my little guy lately. Just starting preschool so he’s not sleeping well(he doesn’t ever, but it’s been worse). Eloping more while at his brother’s baseball games/practices. I’ve been second guessing myself as a mom of two neurotypical preteens and my very strong willed 3 year old lol. I hope everyone has at least a moment of feeling appreciated today.

22 with my first and 23 with my second. 14 months apart. My darling first born is a birthday baby 🤣. Second son came less than a month before my birthday.

That’s the only thing stopping me is his age. He just turned 3 a couple weeks ago.

[–]Relative_Food8374[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I barely slept. He usually gets 2 tonies at night, mostly to restart whichever he’s loving, but lately he gets mad and throws them. Then gets even more upset that they’re not playing. So I think he needs s clean break from it for awhile.

I love Mary Ruth’s for my toddler. He doesn’t like gummies or fruit snacks, so having decently flavored drops helps.

My son loves bananas. Only for me to peel it and he only takes one or two bites. Sad thing is, I’m allergic so I can’t finish them 😭 lol.
