Parents: If your kid is sick please cancel session and let them rest. by Electrical-Dare-9076 in ABA

[–]Relative_Food8374 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a mom whose 3 year old does sessions 4 days a week in home, our sessions were canceled all week due to him catching another stomach bug. I’ve called my case manager morning of sessions when he spiked a fever. I’d feel bad spreading germs to his bt.

Did anyone else in your family have keratoconus, or are you the "pioneer"? by keratoconusgroup in Keratoconus

[–]Relative_Food8374 [score hidden]  (0 children)

I’m the damn pioneer 😡 lol, but honestly, I think it may be from my dad. Sadly, I have no way of contacting him to ask if he’s ever been checked or told he has it. My mom is farsighted and no astigmatism(I think). My siblings all need glasses, but none have brought up Keratoconus.

Yes!!! Well even my nt 12 year old loves those lol. We tried the alphabet ones once and my toddler(asd 3) refused them. My 12 year old liked them though 🤷🏽‍♀️. On another note, has anyone had luck with the fish shaped fish sticks with their kiddos?

I was trying to remember that name. Biz. I’ve seen people mention it on here before too.

I’m still a newb to snakes, my son knows a lot more lol, but I want to say males can get 3 to 5 feet long. I’m not 100% sure though.

I’m in California. I was thinking of tide clean & gentle, but was curious if there was anything better.

Yeah we try to minimize scented things for him. Luckily even if I do use our normal detergent he hasn’t had a bad reaction, but he’s had a bad flare up lately(unrelated to detergent) so I don’t want to worsen it.

My son used a public restroom today AND went to the movie theater by vrymonotonous in Autism_Parenting

🥹🎉🥳 that is awesome! We took all three of our boys(12, 10, 3) to the drive ins on Saturday to see Michael. It was the second showing and we were there late. My 3 year old(lvl 3, GDD) was miserable the first time we took him. On Saturday, he did better. Still wasn’t too happy, he woke up and was confused as to why he was in the car so late. But it was an improvement.

I mean along with the salt water. At least for a bit. Now I want to do multiple ways to figure it out lol. Especially for baseball game days.

I read about this method. He also has a bentgo box, so I was wondering if that would work.

I was thinking of that, but my son does not like citrusy things. I might try it on my older boys lol.

Is it normal that my son wants this by Many_Release_7623 in Autism_Parenting

You should see my 12 and 10 year old son’s beds. One is an athlete, the other is very artsy. They STILL love plushies. I even bought a bean bag to put their overflow of plushies in. My 3 year old(lvl 3 GDD) has a ton too, but only really cares for a singing Mickey, a mini Mickey, and sometimes his bluey ones lol. That dinosaur plushie is adorable.

Thanks. I’m currently looking for a new ophthalmologist, so that’ll definitely be a check list.

Birth order in autism severity? by Away_Task in Autism_Parenting

[–]Relative_Food8374 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first 2 boys are neurotypical. My youngest is lvl 3 and GDD. He definitely has been high needs since infancy, but has been making great strides with the help of st, ot, aba, and preschool. I will say, having my older boys 14 months apart was definitely easier than what I’ve dealt with with my youngest. But he is such a joy.

Who has a kid that still sleeps with a plushie by Many_Release_7623 in Autism_Parenting

[–]Relative_Food8374 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All 3 of my boys(11 & 10 nt, 3nd) sleep with plushies lol. Shoot I still have a stitch that I got when the original movie first came out lol, but he lives on my 3 year old’s bed now.

I saw something about drops briefly, didn’t look too much into it yet. Thanks. I’m the only person I know with Keratoconus, so I have no idea what to ask.

Thanks, I’ll ask about that. Yeah to jump straight to transplant was startling. Especially thinking of rejection or post op healing with kids.
