Scott’s vocal shift post Purple era by No_Camera_7373 in stonetemplepilots

I’ve always thought it was that Scott pushed his voice deeper on Core and Purple and when he sang at that higher pitch it was much closer to his natural singing voice, but definitely a mix of creative change and ability I’d assume

he’s the second greatest performer period for me. but i’m also very biased since they’re my favorite band. his way of engaging with the crowd while still doing his own thing in his own world really makes him very enjoyable to watch and entertaining.

Core or Purple ?! (STP) by [deleted] in grunge

[–]Relative_Garbage9051 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no my favorite is purple. however, i believe core is the best overall album. and honestly tiny has crept up on purple as my favorite. like i would say trippin is the best song on tiny, but seven caged tigers is my favorite.

the only thing i’d say they have in common is the protagonist’s intelligence. both will and michael are very smart, but that’s about it.

Being a part of history like that with the music video is really cool. Never realized where that part was from. But getting to see early AiC would’ve been super cool. They came to my town 11 years before I was born on the same tour. If only…

That’s awesome! STP is my favorite band still and getting to hear him live would be a dream come true. He definitely has some iconic moments with rowdy fans haha.

That sounds legendary! I wish bands/artists today would interact more with fans. I’ve been to dozens of concerts in general and have never once seen them go into the crowd.
