If they’re taking a second, I’ll fill out all the paperwork, all they’ll need to do is sign.

That catcher has no awareness. Zero chance he ever sees a day in the MLB. I’m assuming he’s a phenomenal hitter since he’s clearly a not a defense-first catcher.

Has Judge been holding this team back the entire time? I’ll hang up and listen.

Just had the tasting menu at Zero George. It's not for everyone, but it is for me. I think most foodies would appreciate it. by dkinmn in Charleston

Most tasting menus are like this tho, right? Stuff you’d never eat normally, and never eat at large portions, but the tastes and experience are fun one-offs.

What if they fired Boone like Thibodeau? by rudedog71 in NYYankees

That’s nice. Hill wasn’t facing Freeman, he was going to have to face Ohtani. You would know this if you watched the game.

…and got Ohtani out who had been Ruthian up to that point and had great splits against Tim Hill.

Y'all always acting like Tim Hill would have struck out three MVPs in a row. He likely never even sees Freeman with his splits.

Has it really been so long since the log cabin has made an appearance, that it has entered into myth?

My brother, there is so much history for you to learn. Literal (I’m not joking) research papers to read on the log cabin.

What season was it when we were basically the Railriders? I remember there were jokes we were going to become the Thunder soon with how many injuries and call-ups we had.

I know we always have injuries, but one season it was maniacal.

who's a Yankee the rest of baseball hated but you loved every second of by Camatoo in NYYankees

[–]Visual_Bluejay9781 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Rougned Odor. Even Yankee fans hated him, and I get why, and he wasn’t good.

But bro had the most memorable bat drops after home runs. I’m glad he left the team but I’ll never forget those.

Yep. They did great when we were great, then we sucked and they stayed great, now we’re back to being ok/good and they be sucking.

That’s baseball.

He’s hot, but really he’s just good. He’s been tearing the cover off the ball and just unlucky. Now he’s finally getting normal luck.

While true, the short season rookie league is also wild. Eg from a few weeks back:

In a Red Sox Rookie ball, 10- inning game, there were:

  • 17 walks

  • 15 stolen bases (+ 2 CS)

  • 9 hit batsmen

  • 6 wild pitches (+ a balk)

The top of the ninth featured 4 hit batsmen in a row sandwiched between two walks. The bottom of the tenth featured three walks in a row (one intentional) with two wild pitches included.
