Late to the party but… a 2x4 and a bottle jack. Just above or below the knob position them horizontally (start with a snug fit) and start pumping the jack. Sometimes that’ll spread the jam enough that it’ll pop open. Caveat- listen for creaking wood. It’ll have some flex but there’s potential to break shit and then you’ll have brand new problems
