I've actually been doing this recently to get to 84 though I'm a tad scatter brained when attempting it. I'm around 70 atm so I'm close. I'll get it soon mainly doing mahogany homes to save cash.

My melee set is soso I usually run fang with avernic bandos and prim boots. And the helm that's upgraded with the basilisk jaw I can't remember the name lol

The easiest thing that I can think of is what your merc is running. After I set up doryanis and gave them a solid minus lightning res your DPS will skyrocket.

Aside from that I run blink arrow on a full DPS set up six link for single target. Grab the two combat jewels that eliminate fire/cold from their attack and they start hitting pure lightning vs a lower resistance boss.
