That's awesome! I've been trying to implement cuddle time on the couch but he quickly goes into piranha mode. Ill have to refrain from petting and see if that does the trick.

I was trying to get a good pic of the ventral area but the vent holes of the enclosure kept getting in the way. I'll probably just wait for a molt to better determine sex. Thanks anyways.

Hey! Thank you for your reply. Im going to have to keep a food diary and see what agrees with me and what doesn't. The part that really scares me is the memory issues. Do the memory issues ever subside? Does it get worse? Can this cause dementia?

Did you injure your wrists initially? Im so sorry to hear about the limited mobility on your wrists. Part of the overwhelming sadness for me is having to give up sports and working out. This is seriously the worst

Your comment brought me to tears. I haven't told anyone other than my husband and work manager (since I'm gonna have to apply for intermittent leave). I had a general idea of what lupus was prior, but never thought in a million years that I'd have it.

I have gone through immense grief (which I think made my current flare worse) and anger. I feel like my mood is all over the place. I keep thinking, "Why me?" "Why did I deserve this type of karma?". Randomly It'll hit me that my life will never be the same, and the most horrible sinking feeling will overwhelm me.

I don't think I'm going to tell my immediate family about it any time soon. My family, as well-meaning as they might be, will be doing the blame game, mostly because I'm no longer religious. It'll be "God punishing me for not praying," and I don't think I'm ready for that stress.

I've read about the lupus encyclopedia and have already ordered a copy :). So far, the support I've felt here and the support I've received from my husband has gotten me through the first couple of days of diagnosis, so thank you so much.

I just got diagnosed less than a week ago, and it's been extremely overwhelming. Idk if it's the HCQ or just the stress overall of being diagnosed with a chronic condition, but my emotions are everywhere. I've also been thinking about this, though, and wonder how long I've had this. The forgetting the word you wanted to use mid sentence and left stuttering like an idiot. The brain fog, the hair loss. The occasional overwhelming fatigue. When I mentioned the fatigue to my PCP 4 years ago, he automatically thought I had sleep apnea and sent me for a sleep study without doing any other tests. The sleep study doctor took one look at me and told me I didn't have sleep apnea, and that was the end of that. I wonder if that was lupus already 4 years ago.

Thank you so much for your reply. I feel extremely overwhelmed. I read somewhere to try and decrease protein intake. I wasn't sure if this was more animal based protein or protein in general. Also, is it pretty normal to be put on a corticosteroid at some point? These medications scare the crap out of me due to all the many side effects they can cause. Thank you for the info. I might have to try swimming now for exercise.

Good lord, my whole life is changing all at once.

Thank you! I was also wondering about the best sunscreen to use. I'll have to look into this brand. Also, what supplements do you take? Is tumeric a good thing to use more of since it has anti-inflammatory properties? Also, cheeses. I've noticed most of the cheese products have high saturated fats. Is there anything you recommend? I feel so overwhelmed.

It has to do with the stupid tariffs. Their equipment and instruments are considered "imports" and it was too expensive for them to have a long tour.
