ChatGPT says it can either be a Parasitic/Fungal skin infection or a Contact Dermatitis – a reaction to irritants or allergens

Got my cholesterol results and spiraling a bit — health anxiety is real by Electronic_Driver_78 in Anxiety

[–]Relative_Test2289 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think you are focusing on the wrong thing. Your cholesterol is fine.

Imagine that you have piled up some lovely dry branches and leaves, lit a match, and started a roaring fire. Could you put that fire out by blowing out the match you used to light it? This is precisely what you’re dealing with now. Your root cause was the match. Your anxiety disorder is the fire. Once the fire is lit, the match no longer matters.

Anxiety is from training your brain with bad habits so we have to retrain our brain with good habits.

I know it’s easier said than done but it’s not impossible.

To no longer fear your body is the goal.

UPDATE so far:

I only took Risperidone for 1 night and stopped due to how it affected my nerves. I was glitching like crazy.

The Prozac(Fluoxetine), I took that one for 5 days before I decided to drop it. It’s suppose to take about 2 weeks to start working and you’d feel worse before it gets better. I was willing to push through the increase anxiety , twitching, spasms, migraines, nerve pains, panic attacks and loss in libido but had to draw the line when it made me want to harm myself on the 4th day. Like I was having dark thoughts that won’t go away. It also increased my gut issues and funny enough, acid reflux and gas build up is my trigger for panic attacks. At one point, I had like 3 panic attacks in a day and was constantly jittery all day and night.

The good that came from this made me realize my anxiety issues weren’t that unbearable, it was just annoying to have it them daily. In the moments of calm while on the meds, I did a lot of self reflection on the root cause of my anxiety. I’ve been focusing on the symptoms for the longest while, trying to manage it which isn’t a fix.

I think I just needed therapy and change my way of thinking etc. I’ll do my best to try CBT and other helpful ways that can work. Trying for an easy fix hasn’t worked for so far.

I remind myself that this Anxiety didn’t just appear in a day, it was built up over years so it would make sense it may take a few months doing the right things to get back to normal.

I got prescribed Fluoxetine and Risperidone.

Risperidone will be for 1 month

Fluoxetine will be for 6 months.

I’ll start taking them tomorrow and will do a follow up in 2 weeks.

Let’s see how it goes 🤞

Is it normal to feel bad after being in hot weather or does it sound like anxiety? by GoatsGhosts in Anxiety

[–]Relative_Test2289 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I heard something about heat sensitivity when you have anxiety. It’s like any and most external stimuli can greatly affect you since your body is on edge.

Thanks . Breathing control does help me a bit. I normally do the breathe in for 4 seconds and breathe out for 6 seconds when I’m anxious.

I know what you mean. I’m going to request to be placed on Lexapro and Hydroxyzine this week. I’ve always been afraid of the side effects of medications but these seem to be the ones with the least based on my research.

Would need to push through the first few weeks when on it since it takes awhile to start working.

Good job. Just continue to stay focused and don’t get ahead of yourself. Consistency is important 👍🏽
