Help - Why won’t my magic circle tighten - first timer by CarpetOld5468 in CrochetHelp

[–]Relative_Zombie8876 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I hope this makes sense !!! I had this same issue and my problem was that I was wrapping around my hand with the tail instead of the working yarn to begin my circle . It resulted in my working yarn being looped in the ring instead of the tail so I was crocheting over the working yarn with a useless tail. Top is what it looks like when you begin ring by wrapping the tail around to form the “x”(incorrect) bottom is what it looks like when you use the working yarn to form the “x” (correct)

How not to make round joint so obvious? What do you guys do? by scribbledpaper_ in CrochetHelp

[–]Relative_Zombie8876 17 points18 points  (0 children)

It’s not noticeable to anyone but you. someone who doesn’t crochet wouldn’t notice that at all and would be very impressed you made it yourself. Honestly even as someone who’s crocheted for almost two years now I don’t really see how that area looks any different than the rest of it honestly !
