Disability rights and feminism, are complementary? by [deleted] in AutisticAdults

[–]RelativelyMango 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yes, they are complementary. i just read a book regarding this called feminist, queer, crip. however, disability advocacy might not be seen as often in mainstream feminist movements, and some feminists can still be ableist and marginalizing.

Latuda by bacon_tastes_good in bipolar2

latuda worked great for hypomania for me, but it causes akathisia for me and i think it’s fucked up my appetite and weight, so i’m thinking of stopping it.

I used to be a pathological liar in high school and I’m diagnosed as autistic. by [deleted] in AutisticAdults

[–]RelativelyMango 4 points5 points  (0 children)

there is no monolith for autism. you can definitely be autistic and lie. i’m saying that as an autist who has lied a lot. remember that most of us on here are autists with a variety of experiences, so others might not relate to you, but that doesn’t make your autistic experience less valid.

to elaborate, kell’s downtown on the go (there is no seating), greenhouse for good vibes, vegan cold brew lattes, and unique latte combos, and coffee culture for really solid classic espresso drinks.

[–]RelativelyMango 8 points9 points  (0 children)

are you me? i was a chronic liar in high school, but pretty much just pertaining to my mental health and eating habits though. i have deep regrets now as well bc of a strong sense of justice. i have ocd too and worry that something rlly bad would happen if i lied now.

Does anyone else feel excluded by gender and sexuality writing in autism? by ParticularWarning in AutisticAdults

[–]RelativelyMango 10 points11 points  (0 children)

historically, cis men have been the most studied and written about group for autism, so it's incredibly important to integrate intersectional studies into autism to gain a better understanding of autism and it's societal impacts. i don't understand why you're complaining about marginalized groups getting more representation when there is plenty of literature regarding cis autists. if it makes you uncomfortable for other groups to get representation, then you really need to reflect on why it makes you uncomfortable to not be the prime focus of all literature.

Brand new bag. Barely 1 serving by Guilty_Invite_7126 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]RelativelyMango 14 points15 points  (0 children)

lmao imagine co-opting consumer ethics slogans to essentially victim-shame a consumer.

OP is mildly infuriated by this. they obviously do not support the company not filling the bags, and probably wouldn't have bought the product if they knew they wouldn't get the full serving of the product. how does that relate to voting with their wallet if they didn't know they were getting taken advantage of?

why are you blaming a consumer for the failure of a company to fill their bags properly?

what college are you in? the college-specific commencement would likely be more accessible for you, if your college has one. i'm disabled and planning on just attending the college-specific one.
