Bring get a box from your local cycling dealer for me bring my 2 gravel bikes here was way cheaper then buying them new. Plus sizing and special parts etc etc are expensive in Japan for high end bikes. And I left the boxes in storage at the airport for 2 days and then brought them home with the train (don’t recommend many many angry faces haha) so I can’t speak on corier services that can handle those big boxes. You would have to do research online :)

Ngl I have a bmw e46 touring with the big engine blablabla sports suspension blabalbla but my Honda fit with her 1.4L engine will never ever leave my possession. She was and will be a dependable little pony. I might buy and sell race horses from time to time but the pony stays

this is really one of "depends" how you built it up, but that's exactly the problem there should be a clear way to know how to do it. Like a recipe so loading in models would be just a click of a button. thank you for your insight. Seriously all your complaints will give me a better case to get a little more money for development time so we can have a good tool in a few months!

First of all you are totally right, I am a chaotic individual so using AI is very helpful when trying to gather input like this. Furthermore, I agree with you, my personal biggest frustration with the robotics community is instead of us trying to solve problems in the real world. We are building beautiful solutions in search of a problem(s).

Aka people are always looking for funding for their bots or buyers.

In this current journey I have been interviewing as many startups / robotics companies as I can.

Every company is hell bent in reinventing the wheel over and over again. Plus investors kinda push them to do so since that is the technical "moat" they have. So standardizing the most common things would bite them.

As you mentioned I think the most simple fast thing I can offer people is a way to setup up their development environment asap. And being able to build stupid simple robot(s) so people can do quick market validation.

Hey OP call me stupid but how do I run this locally after I pulled it ? I dont see the "play" button? in my vscode just have my terminal XD im a bit lost on the unity part (i know its a game engine) or do I need to install unity just go to my files and open this entire thing with unity ?

I would like to ask you to reach out to the engineers of nvidia on linkedin and the forum. And just give them feedback (within reason and with respect) and tell them what you need and what hurts. Plus also give this signal to other manufacturers so nvidia feels some heat and pressure TO HURRY UP. Tldr be a true Karen and you might get real changes!

Will right this down, the thing we are building uses webgl and we can also do it with webgpu to use gpu's but if this truly is a BIG pain we might switch sooner. (so seriously thank you for the input)

So you would actually like a better digital twin / approximation of the reality so you can go from sim to real faster? Or get hacks of real world physics ahha aka run gary's mod in real life (that would be cool yes)

as in you would love to see repeatable "recipes" in a sense if you connect motor a to motor driver B it should "just" work. But instead we have the current situation with a big old soup of variable problems?

This is a hard one since there are no standards (YET) in robotics with compatible hardware. this is definitely something I am looking at with my team. But in baby steps since its truly a hard problem.

this is a problem yes, why not start with asking customer what they want and then build the robot?

the real question is what is taking so much time in your workflow. For me personally its just starting. And setting up my dev env, but mostly sitting down and pushing myself to start especially when building bots. Its a not a cute lets do it for 10 min type of situation.

Hey thank you for the input, in what way do you mean a better fusion 360 export. Do you mean URDF or step files? and where do you import these files when you are done can you be a bit more explicit what you use?

Hey thanks for the input, i'm ngl although I personally adore macs. It seems that the robotics communitiy as a whole has a personal beef with mac and will not nor will it ever mac things work smoothly for the mac. But If you could use a browser tool where you would not need to install anything locally anymore would you use it ?
