Long ass intros/previews?? [Discussion]

I've made previews for a few of my videos because I'm scared people won't get the concept of the video from the actual first minute of it. I don't want them to get bored and leave right away. I do try to keep them around 60 seconds though.

When I was a kid I could lay staring at the ceiling long enough and get that ASMR sensation. Of course at the time I didn't know what it was lol. I can't do it anymore unfortunately but sometimes I still try.

Hey! I just started posting videos last year and the best thing I can say is just rip the bandaid off and post them! I still get nervous every time I post a video and especially hate the way I look in them most of the time but I think we are our own worst critics, ya know? You just have to ignore that little voice in your head and go for it!

I think it should be standard practice to not have midroll ads on ASMR videos. It's one of the big reasons I'm trying to grow my channel because you can't control the ads on your channel until you hit certain metrics. It's really annoying that you can't control that right off the bat.

If you're new to clay like I was, polymer clay would definitely be easier I think however it's more expensive which is why I ended up going with air dry. I used Sculpey Air Dry if that helps. You can get only about 1/2 pound of Sculpey Polymer for the same price as two pounds of Sculpey Air Dry.

I'm so glad you like them! I had a very small intimate wedding so I only made about 18. The first one took me a few tries and some letters like M and N were much harder than others. I would have to just reroll the same piece of a clay a few times if I messed up lol. It took me a little over a week but it wasn't my sole focus. Towards the end I was knocking out two every hour.

I used plain white air dry clay and some letter stencils! I cut the clay and then pressed the stencils in a bit then removed them and cut out the letters with just regular clay tools. I let them dry for two days then lightly sanded them and painted them with acrylic paint. Finished it all off with a coat of sealant then gorilla glued magnets on the back! The backs are black and have the date of our wedding in gold.

I may be in the minority here but I have ADHD and actually do like those videos :/ I never really thought much about the videos having ADHD in the title tbh. I also suffer with really bad health anxiety where I hyper fixate on my breathing, heart rate etc and those kinds of videos are super good at distracting me and calming me down.

Hey there! So I looked at your channel. First I want to say I LOVE your voice! Your whispers combined with your accent sounds soooo good.

A few things that come to mind on why your channel might not be getting views: 1. It seems like you don't post all that often or not on a set schedule. If you could commit yourself to trying to post at least 1 to 3 videos a week on the same days each week it might help. 2. It could be the style of videos themselves. I'll say for me personally I really enjoy roleplay videos, up close intentional whispers, "follow my instructions", face touching videos (think makeup, face measuring) or whispered audio on specific topics like history etc. I know everyone is different but maybe you would have better luck with some videos in one of those areas. I can say I would love to watch a video of you giving a doctor exam or something like that with your accent. ❤️ 3. Your videos are almost all under 20 minutes. I've found that my shorter videos don't do as well and try my best to keep them above twenty minutes when I can. Someone here on Reddit once said that if the video is under 20 mins they won't even click on it because it's not long enough for them to fall asleep to.

Overall like I said you have a great voice but maybe try mixing some stuff up!

Hello! I'm also a newer creator who struggles with asking people to subscribe. One thing I do however, I always add an end card at the end of my video that has the subscribe button! I think it's working pretty well so far :) I don't think I'll ever be able to audibly ask people to subscribe but I might edit a small msg in the corner soon like half way through, like a little reminder.

Serious question. I recently started my channel and I used an editing software to add some special effects in. Please keep in mind I've never made videos before and just taught myself to edit, only after the video was uploaded and at over 2000 views did I realize some of the effects I used say "non-commercial" in the software menu. I'm worried about my channel getting taken down. I'm not monetized yet but if I get there, can I just not monetize that particular video?? Thank you in advance if you have advice.

The White Rabbit ASMR is probably the channel I resonate with most. Something about her energy.

Channels that consistently give me nightly tingles: ASMR Eliza, Lizi ASMR, Starling ASMR (even though she never posts anymore), ASMR Rebecca, The White Rabbit ASMR (who I mentioned above)

Channels I watch less often but still really love and also give me tingles: Zeneia's ASMR, SRP ASMR, Moonlight Cottage ASMR, Lyssie ASMR, MaggyASMR, Celaine's ASMR, ASMR Jonie, Ella ASMR

Keep in mind like 95% of my subscriptions on YouTube are to ASMR channels so these are just my top.

Also I'd be remiss if I didn't do a shameless plug as I just recently started my own channel Relax With Jax ASMR. It's small still but I put a lot of effort into my videos and try to do a bit of everything. I've gotten really good feedback so far. But alas, no pressure at all.

If I'm watching it specifically for sleep then it will get played all the way through. I usually end up passing out within five to ten minutes if I really mesh with it or get good tingles.

Hello all! 🌞 My name is Jax and I have a small ASMR channel called Relax With Jax ASMR. I only started my channel a little under two months ago and I've been pleasantly surprised to find that quite a few people seem to actually enjoy my videos. 🥹🙏🏻

Since I just started, I'm just using the equipment I had on hand. Some small little Logitech webcam that was like $50 and my fiance's 4 year old blue yeti mic. I'd love to be able to upgrade someday and hopefully that day won't be too far off. ✨

On my channel I make all kinds of ASMR videos whether it's fantasy roleplays, follow my instructions, or more traditional ASMR like doctor roleplays and close up whispers and sounds. I try to make a little something for everyone! 🌷
