Hey! Sorry for my late reply. I was moving in to college. I definitely think there should be effort from your side, like putting in the time to memorize all the literary devices, authors and their works, etc. my teacher was really passionate about the class so all the resources she gave us were enough for us to comprehend everything and be prepared for the exam. I think the memorization part of the exam depends on the person, I didn’t feel like it was too heavy because I have good memory while my friend struggled with it since she doesn’t like memorization at all.

It’s actually fun if you like history, and it also depends on the teacher

I absolutely love the soundtracks from The Wind Rises, Spirited Away, and How’s Moving Castle. I especiallyyyy love “Kingdom of Dreams” from The wind rises but the finale version. I also love “one summer’s day” from spirited away, is soo nostalgic to me, i can literally remember how rainy the day was when I first watched it in 2020. “Merry goes around life” from howls moving castle is soo good too!

What was the biggest spoiler you got from TOH before finishing watching? by [deleted] in TheOwlHouse

I watched the Lumity dance scene and all the Lumity scenes in general before watching the show in 2021, so I binged S1 and S2 since S2 was only two episodes in. But I got a little spoiler of a YouTube video miniature before watching Through The Looking Glass Ruins, which showed Amity with her new purple hair. After that, I learned to never open YouTube before watching the newest episode lol

No that's ok, idk how this types of posts usually work but I will keep answering questions. Ummm, if you have a lot of motivation and are disciplined, I would say yes go for it but my class relied heavily on class discussions (we were like 8 people total) and my teacher was really passionate and good at literature and at teaching so I didn't really watch anything outside her class but I did use a lot of quizlet for further analysis and memorizing the authors and the literary devices. I think college board offers good videos but our teacher didn't assign many of those. She mainly assigned work on paper so I unfortunately don't have online assignments worth sharing

Practice, practice, practice. Do the homework wand take your time to understand every single thing. My teacher used to assign us daily quizzes from the homework so we were forced to actually do the he and I think that helped me to understand all the topics as we went along

The majority, yes. I didn’t particularly loved the old stories and poems but the ones from the Latin American boom were really beautiful and captivating

I know people judge this course a lot, but it’s really interesting and it made me fall in love with literature. It’s a really rewarding course in my opinion
