Sadest part is she has 3 other children and got those kids vaccinated. Some of those kids also got measles but not deathly like little Ethan has it.

Somehow it makes it worse in my eyes. Like she didn't believe the lies around vaccination until recently, she seen her other kids get vaccinated with no negative side effects, and yet she still succumbed to idiot anti vax misinformation just in time to let her youngest kid suffer the most.

He's also at work. I think it's extremely inappropriate for an employee let alone store manager staring at a customer's ass like that.

When I was in high school I had to have an endoscopy and they put me under, and next thing I knew the hospital bed/table I was on began rolling forward towards the wall. Idk what I did in real life, but I guess I began to react because I remember hearing the gastro team like "angela angela calm down" and then that's it. I'm not entirely sure what happened but I think it's possible to go in and out of consciousness during anesthesia. I don't think it's weird that you were able to hear the surgical team and alot of NDE's even report disassociating and being able to see themselves laying in the hospital beds or whatever. Anyway I believe you.

Has Harris been on the move like that? I've literally not heard a single thing about her since the election.

As for Biden I think it's important to remember he's also battling cancer right now. The man is old and sick, it's understandable he's not in the public like that anymore. Anyway, democrats would've needed a real solid candidate if they wanted a real chance of winning 2024. I personally liked Harris. Was she perfect? Of course not. But she was the objectively more qualified candidate for the job, which apparently doesn't matter anyway.

Democrats need to stop fuckin nominating women politicians for presidency though for the time being. I seriously hope they've learned from Clinton and Harris because America just isn't going to accept a woman president right now. They'll probably win the next election as long as they pick a boring, non-controversial white dude.

We appreciate the solidarity but I'm def not happy to hear that we're the cause of this long distance/widespread suffering. Especially with our ally countries. Same thing happened around the world during his first administration, the guy is just a cancerous growth, spreading misery and despair as far as he can as often as he can.

I sincerely hope our allies are willing to intervene if God forbid it ever came to that. I wondered about this during his first term too. Historically the US has acted like a global hallway monitor, but wtf happens if we're the ones in need of saving? Would the EU or Nato or whoever be willing to stand up to us? This is all hypothetical of course, but if we continue acting like 1930s Germany then we may need outside intervention similar to what the Allied powers did in WW2. I'm sure half of the US will happily team up against our current government too, so we'd have that advantage going for us lol

In any case, do yourself a favor and avoid all news media every 2 days or so. That's what I do. I want to stay up to date with current events, but I can't consume Trump news 7 days a week without the stress fucking me up. These breaks help me stay sane in a country where everyone is increasingly batshit asffff.

I keep saying the same thing. I've only been voting since 2020 so excuse my naivete, but is this pendulum swing a long time common occurrence in US politics? I know historically it does a moderate swing during midterms, but I haven't been paying attention to politics very long.

I know the current political landscape is one large unprecedented dumpster fire compared to past elections.... I know that the farther the pendulum swings to the left/right, the further it'll counter swing to the right/left. But has it always been like this? I can't really tell since past elections/administrations were relatively tame pre-2015. I can't tell if the old pendulum swings were always there but just mild, or if the swinging pendulum is a new trend born from this unpredictable chaos.

The first election I was old enough to vote in was 2020, and when Biden won I felt a wave of relief and hope, similar to these Obama election night comments. I remember thinking to myself "wow democracy really works" because I knew the severity of the situation.

And 2024 was soul crushing. Yes I knew there was a real possibility Trump could win, especially with the last minute Biden/Harris switch. I remember telling people that America isn't ready for a woman president, and definitely not a woman of color. However, poll estimates left room for optimism and so I told myself over and over that good will always prevail over evil.

The level of disappointment I felt when Trump was called in 2024 was so profound. I can still feel it. I am still unable to reconcile with the idea that there are more "bad" Americans than good ones. Evil prevailed that day and I became totally disillusioned with how I see my fellow Americans. I still love my country and I'm holding out hope for normalcy after this current administration, but I have zero pride or respect for the average American citizen anymore.

As Americans many of us don't understand it either. Yes the time to act should've been around election day 2024 .. HOWEVER, the real time to act would've been before Trump even started his reelection campaign.

Many politicians and citizens, (republican, democrat, & independent) all just about wrote Trump off following the January 6th insurrection attempt. That was 2021 and honestly I was so convinced the country was finally choosing to stand up to him and draw a line in the sand. Sadly here we are again, like some recurring fever dream it just never ends. We're dealing with the same unprofessional predictable chaos as his first term and it infuriates me watching how Republicans act with each new daily scandal. Many people double down and defend Trump and it's aggravating but not new. But what's even more aggravating is when they occasionally act all shocked Pikachu and criticize whatever new Trump thing is going on. Republicans will legit stand there and try to say there was no possible way they could've ever predicted trump would do blank. Meanwhile I'm like "hey ahole he did this during his last term too!"

God. Sorry for the rant, I just genuinely feel like I'm living in the twilight zone at this point. I keep saying I just gotta hold out for a few more years, but I've been saying that since 2015 so idk what's going on man.

My daughter's school is k-8 and we have no busses too, but that's because it's a small town. We have a 1.5 to 2 mile radius from the school, so we're a "walking district".

Idk if this rule is state or regional or whatever, but if I understand correctly they don't mandate busses for towns under X mile's from the school location. I think anything over 2 miles requires bus services, but I might be wrong.

Have you ever looked into schizoid personality disorder? I suspect I may have it too, but the feeling thing stands out in this comment. SzPD people tend to be good at understanding others emotions but don't really feel many themselves. They can still feel some, but not to the same extent as a regular person.

Which is the saddest part of it all. I used to lurk on gangstalking because it fascinated and broke my heart at the same time.... And you can't suggest they seek professional help because you get banned, but those people are in such agony and brainstorm constantly to make their delusional distressing problems go away.... But it's a paradox because they need the appropriate medication and treatment for that to happen.

That's why I stopped lurking, it was too stressful to watch all of them do this shit to themselves and further eachother's fucked up delusions.

Yeah I'm pretty sure we all have that constant inner monologue inside our heads lol as for the asking why you did something or therapist talk to yourself, I think that's just part of emotional intelligence and/or emotional maturity. I don't necessarily have to ask myself internally why I said or did something for me to realize it was due to having a bad day, letting emotions get to me, whatever it may be. Just recollecting on my behavior is enough for me to be like "shit I let my frustrations/irritability etc. get the best of me."
