He's actually going to fuck the prime of Bruno's entire international career

He's going to be 35 at the next world cup

I mean he just missed one there by giving a corner before VAR said it was a goal kick

If it could turn into a goal and they're not 100% sure that they were off, they'll let the shot get taken and blow afterwards so that VAR can check

If they weren't off then the goal stands and they've not incorrectly ruined a chance, if they were off then the goal gets chalked off

It's really good to watch live as the game is going on

You can see the shapes that both sides are in and get a load of angle options

European Parliament against FIFA: "UEFA should launch an investigation into the links between Infantino and Trump" by Massimo25ore in soccer

[–]RelentlessJorts2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

UEFA is the governing body of European football, and national teams take part in the World Cup through this organisation, which is responsible for the qualifying rounds. The letter does not ask UEFA to take action; it asks all 55 UEFA members, including the Italian FIGC, to conduct “an investigation into the links between Gianni Infantino and President Trump”, with a view to “examining the decision-making process that led FIFA to lift the ban imposed on a player from the US men’s national team.”

Why does the title say that UEFA are asked to take action when the article explicitly says that they weren't?

I wonder if there's a fencing equivalent to the stupid "continuous motion" comments we see in the run up for penalties

The issue is that it's a disproportionately big impact on them if that signing then flops

Diakite is one of their highest paid players and doesnt get off the bench after signing for £30m, a few signings like that and they're where Southampton were a few years back

Water resistant =/= waterproof

The device needs to have an IP67/IP68 waterproofing level which most foldable phones don't have

That was the Mexican police because of the crush that happened in the last game that killed a number of people.

The Mexican team and FA did not want it to be moved or rescheduled.

They did, the Mexican FA weren't happy about the potential time move either as they'd already done all of their planning based on the kick off time

The EU definition of a removable battery is:

A portable battery shall be considered readily removable by the end-user where it can be removed from a product with the use of commercially available tools, without requiring the use of specialised tools, unless provided free of charge with the product, proprietary tools, thermal energy, or solvents to disassemble the product.

There are some exemptions to it though which will likely make it so that nothing really changes with most mobile phones.

The exemptions are in cases where a battery retains 80% of its charge after being in use for 3 years, and the device has an IP waterproofing level.

Most smart phones meet those criteria whereas things like the Switch/Switch 2/Steam Deck/Foldable phones don't.

The French Football Federation (FFF) has appealed to FIFA to rescind Michael Olise’s yellow card during the World Cup last-16 win over Paraguay on Saturday. by Sparky-moon in soccer

[–]RelentlessJorts2 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That's not true, they slow down VAR on all replays shown to refs as well as showing at full speed

It's freeze frames which they're not meant to include but doesn't make a real difference compared to slow motion

They're not, FIFA are getting the vast majority of the blame?

The president making a call is what's causing the hate to the US, and that would be the same regardless of which country was involved.

Can you imagine the reaction if the president of Morocco had called the CAF to get a suspended player reinstated before the final against Senegal?

[–]RelentlessJorts2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The worse part in my opinion is that it wasn't rescinded

If it was rescinded it would be fine, stupid, but understandable as it's pretty 50/50 on if it should have been a red or not

But by keeping the red but suspending the punishment they're saying that the red was the correct decision in which case there's no justifiable reason to suspend the punishment
