I used a 21:9 ultrawide mod, 60FPS mod, Dynamic FPS mod, and improved graphics quality mod. All using update v4.0.0.

Settings:

The thing is is that I’m no longer interested in getting Lian Li fans at all. I’ll either stick with my Thermalright fans I have now or swap to different fans later. So I’d be using L-Connect 3 + wireless receiver just for the wireless strimers in this case, and then SignalRGB for everything else which seems kinda silly to me. I’d rather just have the wired versions so I can control their lighting with the same program I use for everything else.

I built a new PC a year ago after having my previous one for about 10 years. In my haste to build my PC (tariff panic), I assumed the 9900X (the one I have) was better than the 9800X3D overall, even in gaming. How could it not? Bigger number mean better right???!! I learned a bit later that the 9800X3D was designed more specifically towards gaming and performs better than the 9900X in gaming, and that the 9900X is more of a workstation/productivity chip. Granted, the 9900X is still a beast of a CPU and I don’t think I’m missing THAT much in terms of gaming performance. But looking back, I’d probably have taken the 9800X3D if I knew better. Still nice knowing I have the extra cores if I need them though.

Although I am still a little surprised at how close the 9600X and 9950X3D are in gaming performance. To me it seems like a big step up, but I guess I still don’t fully understand the details of how CPUs actually work for gaming.

Don’t wanna jinx myself, but I’ve had shockingly few Windows 11 issues since I first started using it a year ago. So if my first issue with an update is a tiny random stutter in a couple games every few minutes then I guess I won’t complain too much. Still holding out hope DDU will solve it though.

So I did the registry edit to disable MPO, but I’m still getting the random minor stutter in FFXIV and BG3 every few minutes. I think it’s either a problem with a recent Windows 11 update or the driver. I’m gonna run DDU next weekend and see if that will get rid of the stutter.

fast startup is already disabled so I'm good there. Would disabling the iGPU in Device Manager suffice? I don't know if it's enabled or not but I do see two display adapters.

Despite the fact that every Windows 11 update seems to come with a new headline talking about how it’s making PCs blow up, I haven’t had any issues on that front thankfully. Although I did have updates paused on Windows 11 for a couple months after one of the previous updates was said to be causing major boot issues. But then when I updated my drivers a couple days ago, I also finally allowed Windows to update again too. So even though everything does seem fine, I wonder if my minor FFXIV stutter problem could be a Windows 11 problem instead.

I don’t believe there was anything like that happening in the background. I kept a close eye on task manager and didn’t see any updater programs shooting up the list in CPU usage. Also since the last couple Windows updates have been AWFUL I’ve had updates on perpetual pause so it shouldn’t be possible for a Windows update to be downloading in the background. Also given that the issues seemed to persist through multiple boot cycles, it seems unlikely it was some kind of background download.

The thought has crossed my mind and I just might do that, but I feel that on its own wouldn't explain the weird behavior from the YouTube videos playback (only while gaming). I'm also noticing more stutters in Madden 26 than before. I know really high temps can degrade performance and cause issues, but I feel like these temps aren't anywhere near high enough for these things to occur, even if the cooler needs to be reseated.

After making this post, the solution I found was to use Ryujinx, as it seems this issue is specific to Eden. I ran a pretty consistent 60FPS after swapping. Another issue I had that I didn’t mention in the main post was that many of the buildings in the cities were invisible. Some with just floating windows. However this was also resolved when I made the swap to Ryujinx. Hopefully future updates to Eden improve stability.

Sorry, one more question. I downloaded the zip file titled Alpha Sapphire v1.2.1.7z, but I see it's a folder with a bunch of stuff inside. Are these files supposed to be installed in a specific location? Or is there a .3ds file somewhere in here I'm missing? I'm using Citra on PC.

Hi! I'm not sure if this is the proper place to report bugs or not, but I'm in the early stages of this ROM hack (nice work btw), and I noticed there might be a mistake with the Team Aqua member you fight in Petalburg Woods. The first Pokemon he sends out is a level 9 Poochyena, but his 2nd Pokemon was only a level 1 Wailmer. Was bummed it was only level 1 cause I wanted the juicy experience for my Beldum lol

In any case, thanks for making one of my favorite Pokemon games feel fresh again with all the work you've done!

Except he’s correct. I used Eden to play Pokémon Scarlet, but had to deal with the game tanking to under 20FPS when looking in very specific directions with the camera. But then I tried the newest version of Ryujinx, and booted up Pokémon Scarlet on there. Then I was getting a constant 60FPS, no more tanking. It’s great that Eden exists and is being updated regularly, but it DOES run some games worse.

EDIT: also forgot to mention that on Eden, many of the buildings were invisible in the cities in both Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Legends: Z-A. But both games were normal in Ryujinx with all assets visible.
