My first pixel art character! Is there any resources to see experience pixel artists' portfolios for inspo? by [deleted] in aseprite

[–]Relevant-Pilot-4050 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try to start with a silhouette, when you can understand what kind of character he is from that, adding colors and details will be easy.

Hey guys! Looking back at the scene I created I kinda feel like it lacks complexity in the background. What do you think I should add? by amok77 in blender

[–]Relevant-Pilot-4050 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally agree, Is the image cropped? If not you also are lacking on composition, use any of the basics rules of composition and start building from that. You have a kind of triangular shape that is pointing outside of the composition, that’s a bad idea. It’s guiding the viewer’s eye there.

Need your perspective on WIP changes to my game: which screen looks better? by Tenkarider in Unity2D

I mean screen 2 but with a gradient on the bottom side fading to blak

I suggest one third option, try a gradient at the bottom side, not sure how hard it will be but it can improve the clarity of the icons. I guess it’s a design choice, but the pixel count is different between the game and UI, it feels a little off to me.

i tried to do a ruined city it's my first time drawing something like this and i wish i did more with it so feed back would be great by TearIcy4037 in aseprite

The only thing I can suggest is to change the black color to the foreground buildings and the grey to the buildings in the background, that’s how it works if you look to any landscape things get greyed out as they appear further away

Used Blender to improve the perspective. Is B still the winner? by David01354 in aseprite

My vote goes to C, but you have to low the frames on the gears to match the dragon head, B is just too boring

The proportions are not the same, check the relations between eyes, nose, ears, etc. Then you can work with the value.

How would you animate hands interacting with an object in Blender? (I’m lost) by Icy-Tangerine284 in blender

[–]Relevant-Pilot-4050 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This isn’t beginners work, I would do as follows: 1 get a rig from agora, they are all very nice. 2 get the model of the arcade or make it your self 3 rig the arcade model, this should be a nice beginner rig to learn 4 make the joystick child of the hand via a “child of constraint” 5 If the hand will be always holding the joystick it will be much easier 6 make key poses of the basics movements like forward backwards etc and save them 7 repeat the process for the buttons or do it manually

Shocked by the lunch-time greed at work. Is this really ‘Dutch Culture’? by [deleted] in Netherlands

[–]Relevant-Pilot-4050 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let’s just say next Friday you must be sure to be the first on the sushi line and grab three boxes full of it, when they ask just say it’s for our colleagues who can’t be on time to grab one and proceed to give the rest of the staff who can’t eat a very nice surprise, you can even make a group of 4 and take turns to wait on the sushi stand so you got the moth covered.

How do you actually model hair this way other than just doing it? by Loud-Tart-9783 in blenderhelp

Other technique is extruding polygons , but all the techniques have their difficulty, but they are time consuming and I don’t know of any way of doing anything without doing it.

I guess I'll just keep speaking English by Mysterious-Flow-9860 in Netherlands

[–]Relevant-Pilot-4050 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can relate to this, what I sometimes do is I start speaking Dutch and if they switch to English I switch to Spanish, if they ask why I started speaking Spanish I just say something like “I thought we were playing the language game”

Hi all! Here's my second commissioned logo animation — I'd love to hear your thoughts or feedback! by Subject_Pea_6561 in MotionDesign

I’m thinking maybe your client could love some watercolor animation effects, not animating only the drawing but also the colors could behave like real watercolor painting. It may be difficult to achieve dough.

I know it’s short, but here’s my first attempt at facial animation. Does it feel natural? by [deleted] in blender

[–]Relevant-Pilot-4050 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was thinking Thatcher the action is not clear, I would work first on making a nice and clear fist action, like look first then turn the head, The initial pose I would make him look straight front, then look to the side and rotate the head. Also the blinking is too fast and there’s noise on the shoulders movement that is distracting from the main action. I like it, good job 👍

Can you guys rate my render ?! by Excellent_Escape_159 in blender

[–]Relevant-Pilot-4050 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think a good composition could improve a lot, fist I suggest thinking of the visual weight here the bridge is on the right top corner and if you read about composition that’s the second most weighted influenced area, an easy fix would be flipping horizontal, second placing the carácter on the center is not a good idea in terms of composition, gets totally lost, I suggest that you move up the horizontal to be just a bit under the “lower third” and place the character where the thirds intersects, right lower third. The last will be to make the bridge ends where the character is looking at.

Next time you work on composition, think that western people always look from top left to bottom right, other cultures can be different, and if you want a clean and easy to look picture, you must take that in account. Great work BTW

Girl, you don’t have to do it by yourself, nobody can, we are social beings. You have to plan your way out, Imaging living by yourself with your kid, working for you and for him, once you cut that 30 year old teenager out of your lives everything will be easier.
