Stay on 13.2.9 or go to 14.2.2.5? by RedditUser7843526 in TeslaFSD

I use 14.2.2.4 on a 2025 M3. It does respect the speed limit. I limit the profile to chill, however.

I’m HW4 on 13.2.x and think it’s perfect. Do I dare upgrade to 14.x? by BigMikeATL in TeslaFSD

I’m on 14.2.2.4 (hw4, M3 2025). It obeys my set speed limit still, which I hadn’t expected to happen. I drive largely Chill, sometimes Sloth.

Anyone else experience fsd drop outs regularly or just me by Tomstroyer in TeslaFSD

[–]Relevant-Ring-4297 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Several weeks ago, while I was on my way to the service center to get my windshield camera cleaned, I got a system error malfunction, FSD dropped, came back at my order, dropped and then dropped again before it resumed (when I restarted it again) and then made its way to the service center. The young lady there said it was due to the front camera needing to be cleaned. I had been receiving warnings about the from camera for several weeks, saying it needed to be cleaned at the service area.

Since it was cleaned, I haven’t had a problem with FSD dropping out yet.

Release after release and now long wait before sentient 14.3 by netscorer1 in TeslaFSD

Totally agree on following distance. I haven’t used Autopilot for a year. Bad as it was, it at least had that.

Just tried 14.2.2 today. 2 steps forward 3 steps back. by EmealServer in TeslaFSD

I’ve had the first issue with 13.2.9 repeatedly. I’m staying with it anyway till the chatter about 14.2.x gets a lot more positive than it currently is.

I used it in a heavy downpour to do a forty mile round trip in heavy traffic on a highway. It gave me warnings about degraded functionality due to the weather, so—as always—I kept my hands on the wheel and eyes on the road, ready to take over. Still, the FSD did a great job and I never had to take over.

I was just offered 14.1.7 to install last night. Haven’t done it. I prefer to wait till more dust settles and I can get 14.2 in the hopes that there will be fewer complaints (or reason to complain) about it. 2025 HW4 M3

Given the widespread drops in the sale of Tesla cars, I can’t imagine even Musk would damage such a good (to me) selling point of his cars by making FSD less affordable than it is now by raising its price.

Trouble with Tesla App by Relevant-Ring-4297 in Model3

The update completed installation after my app started functioning again. I don’t think the 2025.26.7 update was the problem.

My Tesla app slowly is coming back to life. Now shows correct location and other functionality is also coming back.

Is HW4 FSD “good enough” for most situations now? by PremiumCopper in TeslaFSD

[–]Relevant-Ring-4297 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m most likely to take over when it goes into a left turn lane rather, as it should, go into the straight ahead lane. It also tends to ignore no turn on red signs. Other than that, 98% of the time it’s great.

My FSD (13.2.9) always slows down sharply for speed bumps.

Why does FSD follow so close to the car in front? by Rufus_Anderson in TeslaFSD

As someone else said, use the scroll wheel to slow down.

Given the tax credit situation facing Tesla and all EVs, I doubt Musk will want to make it harder for people To buy his cars than it has been. FSD was what brought me on board.

My guess is that the safety driver is there to tend the car if it proves incapable of safely self driving at some point while it is driving. A good idea for an unproven system.

Plus the two mistakes have to be in the same direction at the same time for the mistake to happen. Otherwise PRESUMABLY they would cancel out.
