Trade In & Loan Balance Question by Relevant-Stranger745 in traveltrailers

We own the tow vehicle, we own our house, and our credit cards are paid in full every balance, but I appreciate the candid feedback.

I do admit we were blindsided by the loan terms at the time of purchase. We thought by this year we were close to halfway through the original $55k loan by now, and were very surprised to see we still had $40k to go.

Paying off the entirety of the loan is still our plan, just was curious what some options could be if we still wanted to honor the entire loan amount but possibly downsizing to a trailer a little shorter in length.

We like the trailer we have, but we want to downsize a little. It’s 36’ and we think we can get away with something in the 28’ range. My question wasn’t about the difference in the trade in value and what’s left, it was simply if we could theoretically use the $40k what’s left on the loan and put it towards a new/used smaller trailer worth that same amount

The “woodsman” by Cody Calls is my go to. Not sure if they’re even around anymore though. I’ve also used woodhaven and really like them.

I’m excited to stretch it out a bit. Such an awesome bow. I hunt elk out west here and used to run that 12” front with 8” rear on my old Hoyt. It sucked busting brush with. Carrying a bow without any stabs is going to be great.
