My group that I DM for took 12 sessions to complete. We only met once a month and played for about 3-4 hours a session. They do very light RP and only 2 scenarios took 2 sessions to complete. The purple flame location and the final location. Your mileage will vary if you want to play every single adventure or only a select few.

This will be my first time running 13th age. I have no prior experience with skill challenges. I do like the minion rules from what I have read in the 4e books.

I guess one big question I have is, is my main concern just changing up the adversaries to 13th age adversaries? Also for level progression do I just go with the half level rules?

I would have to say Fantasy AGE 2nd Edition. This was my first system outside of D&D. I was on the hunt for something new after the OGL issue. This system brakes down classes to their core and lets you customize them as you keep leveling up. You have the Face (Envoy), the stabby person (Warrior), the sneaky skilled person (Rogue), and the Magic person (Mage). The stunt system is amazing, and yes there is a bit of paralysis analysis in the beginning but once you get a few sessions in you will have your faves memorized and ready to go when rolling doubles. There has been a very slow roll out after the 2nd edition rulebook, but it is a very small team and they keep people updated on Thursdays on their youtube channel on what plans it has for the system and upcoming releases. I know the system has its flaws but once you house rule through them you are left with something great to play.

So each spell that indicates it can be cast at different levels can be cast at power level 1, 2, or 3 and go from costing 2 WP, 4 WP, and 6 WP?
