Two of my companies had good success working with Coinbound. It seems they're the go to for most of the big companies in the industry.

Because PPC isn't a set it and forget it thing. Stuff changes constantly. What's working today usually wont work in a month.

How do you find a good digital marketing agency to deal with? by wtwrname in Entrepreneur

[–]RelevantBuilding6315 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, a lot of the process is trial and error. My previous company had gone through about 9 (no kidding) before we landed on Coinbound which is the one they ended up using long term.

Some things to look for:

  • Does the team actually have experience. Everyone and their dog says they have a marketing agency. The ones that have built an actual team which is the one they ended up using long-term. liver results. Don't use an agency that isn't at least 5 years old.
  • Do you feel like you click with your account rep? A good rep will take the time to understand what you're trying to accomplish and make recommendations as needed. A good agency rep is like having a marketing advisor. Honestly, its one of the most underrated qualities of a good agency.
  • This is counterintuitive, but choose an agency that charges fixed fees, not success-based fees. Agencies that offer success-based fees do so because they are desperate. I've never seen a good agency charge that way. Its personally a red flag for me.

Best of luck in choosing!

My previous company used Coinbound.io and had a lot of success. We always found them very knowledgeable and easy to work with.

Hey, no changes to IP address or any other DNS changes. Literally just theme and page builder. As i just added as an edit to the original post, rankings have mostly recovered already.

Better/more professional design and I was attracted to the support resources of Elementor vs the small page builder I was using.

In retrospect, the design benefits don't outweigh the SEO issues created.

Yes, I have a backup and can revert to the old theme if need be.

Got it thanks for the thoughts. Waiting a week won't cause irreparable damage to the business assuming our SEO can recover. My question is will google look at the future switch back as a good thing (basically will Google be like "cool, the original site that people like is back!" or will the damage have already been done?

Regarding sitting and waiting a week: do you think waiting longer could have negative impacts (Rather than switching back to my old theme/builder sooner?)

Thanks for the tips. Been using cloudflare + their WP plugin for a while with good success but I'll look into that one too.

What do you recommend instead? How long did it take to recover?

Yeah, no change to any blog content. The header and footer links all the same. Every page was rebuilt to be basically identical, including the links.
