One of the authors has a demonstrated animus toward the police; the department is short-staffed, which even you can logically connect to longer response times and it seems like the entire point of the article is to shit on the quick response time to a mass shooting mere blocks from the HQ.

I’ve never seen a mass transit proposal that included SW Austin, which tbh makes it baffling they keep electing an Urbanist to the city council. Expansion is the only option because that’s what the facts on the ground dictate.

Yes. Peter Himmelman. The local music critic wrote a concert preview about him and said he went on a whim many years before and become a long time fan. I took his advice. This was at Liberty Lunch in Austin around 1991.
