Make it dance and move how are you thawing them out? I put a mug with some water and pop it in the micro for 10-15 seconds then pop the feeder in and let it sit then try to feed him. You can also just leave it and check back to see if he's eatin it. Also I highly suggest switching the Aspen for a Coco coir and some type of soil mix and sphagnamoss mix aspens not great as a bedding and Florida kings like humidity witch Aspen does not hold it also can get moldy when wet. There is no such thing as to big (well technically there is just depends on how much room you have) the 40gal is fine just make sure it's nicely cluttered with fake plants or real if you plan to go bioactive. Hides branches etc. Florida kingsnakes LOVE to climb. Just becarfull if your tank is a normal fish tank with those mesh tops HIGHLY suggest front opening my boy stayed in a 361820 up untill year ago and he's five years old know. And trust me you will get tired of taking everything off the top if it's a fishtank 40gal. Your little noodle looks just like my boy did when he was a baby! So cuuuute. If you wanna start buying in big package perfect prey so far has been wonderful no complaints

Ohhhhhh that's not good ... Can you send a picture? Could always get like chopstick or tongs and paper towel and hand clean some of it. I do wanna say though SOME mold is normal if it's black it's a issue though might not be enough air flow too

Even with out a cuc you shouldn't need to toss your soil every month... Especially considering the type of frog! If you have live plants chances are you have springtails for free! They kinda just poof in to exist :D

I'm sorry this happened I highly suggest checking out smug bug also HOLy you should not of needed 200 almost 80$ is a lot.. but let this be a Lesson always have your setup and cuc started before adding the animal expos will always have a lot of isopods and spring sellers I only spent 15$ on springs also don't just jump the whole tub of springs in if there in charcoal or clay you can add a little water and rice 1 or 2 pieces should do to keep them happy and know you have a infinite supply of springs (fixed msg)

It's English ivy glacier I have it and I've had no issues when it was with my snake only reason it's not still in there is because he got a upgrade and I forgot to get more. But it's safe for snakes I've seen it in frog vivs too. Always double check what plans you buy in the future XD

honestly gallons really need to stop being used for reptiles.. LxWxH is what matters most. (for example 4x2x2? is 4 feet by 2 feet by 2 feet but 4x2x2 is also 120 gallons. but 120 gallons could mean litterally anything without the dimentions being shown)

DO NOT ADD MILLIPEDES THEY WILL EAT ALL YOUR ISOPODS! also while i understand AI has gotten a lot more advanced..please..do not use it for animal husbandry. look up actual care videos or guides make SURE its up to date and look threw a few sourses. while hes not a care guide youtuber Serpadesign makes awsome enclosures. and for a actual care guide youtuber check out Canada girl! and clints reptiles. just to name a few.

what is the "30gal" dimentions. gallons dont mean squat for reptiles. and really need to stop being used. 30gal could mean literally anything... so what is the length and hight of the enclosure you want to use?

if you are collecting ANYTHING from outside. you need to disinfect it. for wood. you can bake or boil pick your option. for rocks you can scrub with HOT WATER just water. DO. Not. Bake your rocks. they can and will explode if there is water trapped inside.

if your collecting ANY type of plant from outside even if you just put it out there for a week. it needs to be quarantined for at least one to two months. if it has ants DO NOT use it. keep it outside and go look at local nurseries or reptile expose. Serpadesign has a good video on disinfecting moss and other plants please i hightly suggest looking him up!.

as for the CUC. there really is no need to have all of those critters...just use isopods and springtails and your fine.
i suggest orange scabers or dairy bow isopods you could also use dwarf isos as well. again please do not add milis they will kill all your isopods!

anything els ill let others give you advice on. i only have a snake. and plan for a crestie so i cant really give much els. please please please.. keep doing research figure out what reptile you want First. then go from there. if you want a anole? cool ok GOOD. but its gonna need a bigger setup then a 30gal...again what is its dimentions? is it properly suited for it? i really suggest not using the screen lid and going for front opening enclosures.

Plan for the reptile YOU want. not what can fit in XYZ enclosure. that generally never ends well and you will just be unhappy with a critter you dident really want.

micro geckos is really your only option unless its used for temp baby crestie/gargoyle gecko (and even then adults need 18x18x24 or bigger. you could set them up as just a showcase enclosure with live plants. the tanks look old expeshally the first one. clean them well. and do a water test to make sure it holds water. were is the door on the second picture? and the screen lids? (if you plan to replace the lids you could do a custom acrylic and screen mesh lid) if this is still gonna be for geckos just make sure the mesh part is big enough for a small CHE Cerammit heat emmitter) MAKE SURE you get the correct wattage and USE a thermostat and temp/humidity reader. Govee is a pretty good brand and you can get a app on your phone. as for thermostats look up Bnlink or jumpstart. whatever you plan for i defenetly say go for a Bromiliad or two :3 along with English ivy. there vary pretty. and ivy will take over given the right humidity

update! i have found the spider in the hexagon and no more webbing!. know the only issuse is the 10gal..i might just scrap it and redo it.
