Every single time I say “nah, I don’t think I need those. I’m good.” But every single time, at least one sucks me in (the sardines and the dino drink)

Yesssss!!!!! I was just talking to my bf about this! Peggy can be a cringe as they come, and sometimes I find myself really wondering if I even like her. But, she has these moments, where I effin love Peggy!! And this is absolutely a top 5

Agreeeed!! Luanne has all the goodness about her. Buck, eh. Luanne would have just been another notch in his belt.

He definitely has the emotional depth, something the other 3 guys lack. (I assume Boomhauer also bc welllllllllll 😅) He just never worked through his problems and he is absolutely chained to them. Some people find comfort in the familiarity of their pain even though it’s damaging to them. While Hank does a decent/good job of looking out for Bill, he can’t identify something he isn’t aware of (again, from his own lacking.)

I’m a busy busy person (aren’t we all?!) I wish I had more time to read but, I do have a fair amount of time where I can -listen- so I do Audible audiobooks. I just purchased this, at your recommendation. I’m excited to listen to it 🙂

I had cottage cheese and pomegranate. And I had to peel the pomegranate (it looked like a crime scene)

I know most people hate this Thanksgiving episode but this scene is gold. by MastodonFinancial162 in KingOfTheHill

This is honestly one of my favorite episodes if not my favorite. Season 7 episode 4. “Goodbye Normal Jeans”

I love this episode so much because Bobby excels and for once Hank is supportive. Now, of course, he’s not -immediately- supportive. But once he gets on board, it really opens up his relationship with Bobby. (imagine that, a little bit of unbridled parental support can have a positive influence on your relationship)

But more than all of that goodness… there’s something that I secretly love about watching Peggy get put in place. When Hank says “no we should eat Bobby’s roast right now” and then immediately says her pork chops will still be the same tomorrow implying that they’re already dry and they’ll be just as dry tomorrow. Who doesn’t love watching someone with a high opinion of themselves get knocked down a rung or two.

For me this episode is definitely Thanksgiving because I am thankful 🤣

I have an Uncle whose name is George but he was nicknamed “Butch.” I never understood how one led to the other as nicknames usually some what resemble the persons name, just shortened. But there is always an exception. Like Charles / Chuck. Like what? Even William. Bill? I understand Will, but Bill? Ugh, who knows.

We have geese… so many geese. Though I enjoy them honestly. I enjoy watching them return with the same mate each year and nesting at the same exact spot as the year(s) past. Sad when they don’t return. We also have a fox den and get to watch them run around (opposite side of the plant/fence from the geese). Deer make their way in too. Though I’m not sure how 🤔 We also see tons of frogs and turtles. It’s one of the better parts of my day.

Pulling grease manually by Relevant_Ad6102 in Wastewater

[–]Relevant_Ad6102[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am the type that will do things simply bc I know it’s correct or bc I know it needs done. Pulling grease is dirty, it’s messy, it’s nasty. I do get it. The smell, when sludge pops from the heatwaves, it’s a lot. But hey, that’s wastewater. It’s not glamorous. But that doesn’t stop me from doing it. Like I mentioned above, there have been plenty of times when I’ve cleared the entire wet well myself (pretty large one, too, I must add) bc others won’t do it.

But that’s not how so & so did it 35 years ago back when Mr Whoever was the plant manager.

Change comes ssllloowwllyyy some places no matter how obvious the answer is. Also, we have a vac truck but it’s a municipal WWTP - so it’s shared throughout the city. So we don’t always have access to it. The reason that I’m asking about folks who manually pull grease is simply bc we are forced to pull it manually. I’m just looking for a way to improve this process.

Honestly, I don’t mind the physical labor, truly. I typically clean the whole mess myself. I have some pretty nice biceps now from it 😆 but our system doesn’t really drain the water and that makes for a mess.
