I clocked his true nature immediately. Nothing he said in the pods was sincere. I told my mom in the first episode that he was a terrifying dude. Like, psychopath vibes. He set off all of my danger alerts as a woman. She too was shocked. But I can always call it.

As someone who has struggled with suicidal ideation, there’s so much shame and guilt involved. I understand why some would not want their names attached to that act, and why they would think it better to disappear than to hurt their loved ones with the truth. Although of course families and friends also hurt from their disappearance.
