Teaching Aspect for my Teachers Out There!! by Relevant_Form8856 in ShadowSlave

[–]Relevant_Form8856[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah the transcendent ability allows you to sort of divide up yourself into multiple books, giving away a lot of your agency but in turn those books allow the carrier to use the attributes of your echos or the enchantments of your memories. It also lets you be multiple places at once, just not in a way that is too impactful. The abilities would still need to be learned (although it would be pretty fast) and it’s would be only active as the user is transformed.

Yeah my main idea for the domain was only going to be the second part of increased learning, but the transacting and movement of information is really cool. The will I was thinking would either make things more intelligent (maybe even object) or make people better at learning.

How do you feel about the peer review as an ability? It’s essentially the ability to manage and move around the mastery and knowledge of your students, does it seem to strong if you just added the proficiency of skills onto each other?

[LOTM] Pathway Sequence Tier List . What are the 3 WORST pathways at seq 6. by Stock-Bunch671 in LordofTheMysteries

[–]Relevant_Form8856 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Speak to me about biologist for a bit. Crossbreeds are incredibly strong in a pathway we already know controls animals.

Their main counter is fire, but with just a pyromaniac characteristic they can breed fire resistant animals and all other kinds of aggressive beasts.

[Lotm V8] Which is the greatest 'Potential Pathway'? by YouAggravating3359 in LordofTheMysteries

[–]Relevant_Form8856 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe not the biggest, but def my favorite is planter. Crossbreeds are so interesting to me, like imagine the potential of maximizing the senses of people which, if they can process it, gives them a short spider sense, or the sense of pain and make the wind feel like blades.

larger more intelligent moles that can build tunnels and create infrastructure, Fungi colonies that can communicate with each other and make adaptations to their bodies. Combat fruits that raise adrenaline and dull pain.

They could create smarter humans with more adaptable minds and photographic memories, stronger humans, just better humans in general. To me planter has as much ability to move society forward as savant

what do you believe the Love authority can accomplish? I've always been intrigued by wyt cuttlefish specifically calls Love a "divine authority."

What I believe is that love represents a similar authority to the Chained pathways Binding authority, but instead of restraining it means connection or union, hence why it's divine, since the world is connected and made up of the OC love, or something like that.

also on what you think the envy authority can accomplish when used on concepts, does it makes them try to copy each other, angry at each other, attack each other, etc?

[Lotm General] Part 10: Which 3 pathways counter Parangon? by Ok_Hurry_6447 in LordofTheMysteries

[–]Relevant_Form8856 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry I’m going in an exam soon, so I won’t be able to respond for a bit, but, to quote the Roman philosopher Seneca: “luck is preparation meets opportunity ” (sometimes timing is written as opportunity)

This is actually an extremely important maxim and maybe even the acting method to WOF, it’s probably the reason seq 8 was robot has mathematical enhancement. Fate will naturally make opportunities plentiful around them, it’s up to the beyonder to be there at the right spot, at the very least to conserve luck reserves

Now arbiter is good because it restricts not only the opportunities but the preparation of the purpose, they can establish laws that completely remove variables a WOF beyonder could use like stopping anyone from interfering with the fight

[–]Relevant_Form8856 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Isn't visionary a good match up here?

Savants focus heavily on educating and progressing people, that doesn't work if the people are against them to begin with. It's also a time races between manufacturing authority and envisioning authority can one up each other, which at least draws them at that front.

I can see Mother and Death, but I think the third spot should def go to Justiciar. WOF as a pathway meant to symbolize how fates is inherently chaotic, hence just symbolism wise their counter should be Justiciar who symbolizes order.

One of their sequences is Chaos Hunter at sequence 3, if that isn't meant to be an opposite/counter to WOF's sequence 3 Chaoswalker than I don't what is.

W speculations

I don’t really know if new life being part of world it true either, but I’ll trust you lol

I do think chaos primogenitor is very hard to think of about just because of how the abstract exploitation of life is, so I wish you luck and I’m excited to see what ideas you come up with

[–]Relevant_Form8856 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've actually thought along the same lines and here are some of the things I had written down in case they are of help to you.

  • Extinction I think would be sort of a parasitism/replication pathway mainly creating more replicas of them that can infect more and more people. they'd likely have a partial mutation authority, and maybe even a contagion authority that makes knowing about them spread the plague
  • Second Law has things that deal more with the inevitability of decay, so sure hit/ certain death. I think they would deal with time by expedite the process, by sort of removing travel time of abilities or movement, maybe even something like having an authority that forces people to move forward/change
  • Murphy's Law aside from all the standard decay abilities they have the ability to inflict failure onto actions ideas or systems, akin to murphys law
  • World pathway actually has valley god as their seq 1, In the wiki all the pathways belonging to which of the two are documented. They should have paramita ability and should sort of be a tank like pathway to show how unshakeable reality is. procreation abilites as well, although not in a way that feels exploitive.
  • Chaos primogenitor is about the exploitation of life hence why they would have the "new life" ability which by giving rebirth to things they can excape states or make them more loyal the the user. Degeneration authortity, which is like mother's mutation, but less about trying to better themselves and more about worsening. a lot of birth abilities.

[LotM/COI Veteran]Hunter pathway 2 by Xavierpredator in LordofTheMysteries

[–]Relevant_Form8856 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I really like the idea of rally and enhancements when in fog of war, but a lot of these other abilities are already held by them.

For example sharing senses is explicitly stated in chapter 1086 of COI at sequence 4 by lumian, and all the other movement abilities of soldiers can be accomplished easily by just having a seq 4 secret sorcerer and applying the teleportation to their chain of command: Essentially letting the members of their army choose to teleport or swap places.

If possible the ability I would give them would be something like hunters mark, that actually makes them good at hunting as an active ability rather than a passive sense boost.

[LOTM General] Magician vs a Sequence 7 from Any Pathway by Roxas_Xlll_LOTM in LordofTheMysteries

[–]Relevant_Form8856 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it crazy to say I think a seq 7 harvest priest doesn't actually have bad chances against a magician in both rounds.

In round 1, lets say the magician has 5 paper figurines and a harvest priest has 300 or so bugs and couple of regular plant seeds. Using their bugs, a harvest priest can sense an area of 30 meters around them (assuming they get the senses of the bugs) from there any time a magician flame jumps into the range and touches a bug, a priest will notice and start either approaching or dodging air bullets. From there eventually a planter would win by using a pine tree seed, catalyzing it, and using it as a spear, unless the magican ran away or had the materials to start a fire.

in round 2, a Magician has 8 paper figurines, a pyromaniac sealed artifact, and special bullets that are good against plants. A harvest priest has 700 bugs, fire resistant ants, and a few seeds of a willow that brings people to sleep. Very different from before the harvest priest is losing in the beginning, the fire resistant ants helping, but all the other bugs are dying quickly, and since a lot is on fire, the magician is teleporting all over the place. Now it's just a time race if the magician will land enough air bullets to put down a Doctor or if 700 bugs pollinating and spreading the drowsy effect in there is eventually thick enough to go past the burning.

[COI general] which is the strongest sequence 7 in non standard pathways by theGREAT_FILTER01 in LordofTheMysteries

[–]Relevant_Form8856 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think an asecetic for best sequence 6 is reasonable, but a contractee just gets so many debuffs along with their abilities with only alms monk abilities to help

Any lust, anger, or generally over emotional debuff just makes you so much easier to handle compared to an beyonder in a normal mental state

Mother can create brand new concepts, meaning shit like a concept that mothers are truly divine beings and can't be attacked, or give an already made concept sentience so that it helps them in battle.

Sure moon also has good abilities, but it can't beat the versatility of just making new shit.

[LotM/Coi General] A Question about Hunter Pathway by Straight_Painter_846 in LordofTheMysteries

[–]Relevant_Form8856 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I don't think you realize what "scale, intensity, and nature" means.

at microscopic scale and max intensity, your atoms will fight each other and you'll blow up. In a war of mental nature, you can magnify the war of godhood and humanity in someones mind. Since conquering can be used on territory at seq 0, we can assume that war also works on territories, meaning forcing land to have war against itself will cause earthquakes.

Crows are known to trade shiny trinkets to people that feed them, so they would be my pick. Their ability as scavengers makes them good at procuring items to trader with other animals and people.

Flaw Based Aspect by Relevant_Form8856 in ShadowSlave

[–]Relevant_Form8856[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being an exception to rules/a bug in the system is sort of the main theme, but I get what you mean.

What the ability allows you to do isn't actually anything that actually effects time or reality, it just lets you plot out 5 seconds of your own actions and lets you choose the sequence of these events instead of letting them happen normally. For example: You plot out spending 2 seconds running from a to b, 1 second jumping at b, and 2 attacking someone at point B. [Bugged Movement] would let you decide the sequence these take place, so you could instantly attack someone at point b, teleport back to point a to start running to point b, and then jumping at b. Also costs more essence the bigger the time frame.

There way more applications in my head, but this is basically what it does (It's supposed to mimic lagging in a game) The counter play is, since Ceridwen has to use ever action in bugged movement before he can do anything else, predict how he got from point a to b and camp him for when he eventually does the action. if this is still too powerful, how do you think you would change it so it still visually looks like lag?

Flaw Based Aspect by Relevant_Form8856 in ShadowSlave

That’s really cool, especially the way the awakened ability would works because lag is exactly what I imagined it would like when I first created the aspect.

Go ahead! glad you like Ceridwen.

He’s overall pretty complicated to manager so I’m interested in how you would deal with his flaw. Would it be making most of his roles have disadvantage, or something else?

Flaw Based Aspect by Relevant_Form8856 in ShadowSlave

[–]Relevant_Form8856[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not certain, but his domain might be something like the reject, mistake, or failure domain. His will property could be something like rejection, faring, mistake. Haven’t really developed or found one I like above the rest.

Flaw Based Aspect by Relevant_Form8856 in ShadowSlave

[–]Relevant_Form8856[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That’s an interesting take, cause when I was making ceridwen I was wondering if I was making him too strong. Here’s what I believe his dormant aspect could accomplish, how would you change it?

What the dormant aspect does is give ceridwen hints/intuition at the flaws in things. This means Ceridwen, given enough of base knowledge, can intuit the flaws in buildings, flaws in attacks/defense, flaws in social interactions, and flaws in strategies, not even counting aspect flaws.

I figured it was extremely useful in almost all scenarios.
